01/7/2014 08:04 | Looks ok .... and a 1p dividend ;-)
Commenting on the final results Philip Blackwell, Chief Executive of the Group, noted "We are very pleased to report a strong performance for 2014. Our business has grown materially on all fronts and culminated in admission to trading on AIM raising £8 million.
"We have made an encouraging start to the year with Shapero Rare Books and South Kensington Books ahead of the same period for the previous year and are looking forward to developing our business through selective deployment of new capital." | philanderer
25/6/2014 11:37 | Oh dear .. 19,000 @ 85p

12/6/2014 12:29 | A set of rare and beautiful books illustrated by the artist John Gould is to be auctioned in London
A complete set of extremely rare and exquisitely illustrated bird books is to be sold with a guide price of £1.5 million by a London dealer in antiquarian tomes.
Described as 'exceptional and pristine', the 12 folio works in 44 volumes, containing 3,000-plus lithographs, represent more than 50 years of painstaking work by the revered 19th-century ornithologist and artist John Gould. He dominated the field of ornithological discovery (he identified Darwin's finches) and natural-history publishing (he employed Edward Lear as an artist).
'No other ornithologist has ever exceeded (or will ever exceed) the number of Gould's bird discoveries and the magnitude and splendour of his folio publications,' wrote Gordon Sauer in John Gould The Bird Man.
The set, which is currently in a private collection and has not been offered privately for sale for many years, will be on display at Shapero Rare Books in Mayfair (020-7493 0876; www.shapero.com) and exhibited at Masterpiece London (June 26-July 2, 020-7499 7470; www.masterpiecefair.com).

12/5/2014 09:01 | Continues....5,000 @ 91p
edit:
and again 5,000 @ 90p
Seems small caps in general are out of favour for now. | philanderer
09/5/2014 09:32 | Still dumping ... 10k @ 91p | philanderer
09/5/2014 07:58 | Been following the trades here closely and there is someone unloading 5k, 10k, and 15k`s worth very slowly, sub 92.5p yesterday and even at 91p this morning.
No way at a profit so either a distressed seller or someone who had them free ?
Going nowhere until this guy is done.
Want to add but looks like you`ll be able to buy well under 89p in the next few days. | philanderer

30/4/2014 16:06 | just the two buys today totalling 1600 shares | philanderer
30/4/2014 08:09 | Morning all.
SCHO seems miles under the radar, can`t find any news anywhere regarding yesterdays update. | philanderer
29/4/2014 18:03 | A good update but you might have bored sellers depress the price unless some news pops up. I can see this heading to 90p for its next chapter. | mach100
29/4/2014 16:01 | Welcome aboard Stegrego , I`m happy to hold a few of these , bought in a little early with a 95p average but happy to sit on them. I like the management here as well. | philanderer
29/4/2014 13:36 | I'd go the other way and say that with lots of virtual 'stuff' around these days, physical, tactile 'real stuff' will be becoming more valuable to collectors or just those with loads of money rattling around.
Taken a small position today, as I see potential here. | stegrego
29/4/2014 13:22 | Something wrong here, trying to head north ? ;-) | philanderer
29/4/2014 08:21 | Could well be jonwig , and potential buyers (russian oligarchs) are getting sanctioned daily ;-)
There`s just no interest in SCHO , 4K in 'buys' and 14k 'sells' this morning so far on a trading statement day. Can`t find any broker coverage.
Most of the feb / march ipo`s have been taken down at least 10% now.
Fags and drugs seem the only play at present :-) | philanderer
29/4/2014 08:11 | Actually, Phil, I don't particularly like this one: the shareholder loans and operational gearing make it hugely reliant on a strong market for their stuff.
You have to wonder how many people are buying rare books, etc. on margin. Bubble stuff? | jonwig
29/4/2014 08:05 | It`s all falling on deaf ears anyway. Waste of time at the moment.
Full year results in july may shake up some interest. | philanderer
29/4/2014 07:00 | IMS just now:
The Group's progress during the year has been encouraging and the Board anticipates that the performance of the underlying businesses will be comfortably ahead of market expectations for the year under review.
PBT was expected to be £0.55m this year, £1.2m next. Assuming a normal tax charge, the PE is 19x, reducing to 13x next. They should be beating these estimates. | jonwig
24/4/2014 15:18 | Dead money. | philanderer
