At their interims trading profit was £14.2m, adjusted earnings per share was 7p. Hence my quick calc of 14p eps for year end.

28m trading profit, take off 1.5m for interest, tax at 20% divide by 187 is 11p eps. I cannot get to close to 14

yes, also surprised no rally yet even now de-risked after fund raise - and oversubscribed if we believe them !
was 400p (if overvalued) not that long ago.
is there a chance they could get some compensation re CTEC situ ? in other words some good news for suffering shareholders or not ...
NRI, but are they also a potential sitting duck now ?
I have 8.35 x 2020 (13p EPS), up to 11.4 x 2021 (10 EPS) and down to 6.8 x 2022 (16 EPS)

Hope so!This is in the UK Buffettology Fund and I would imagine, okay hope, that Keith Ashworth-Lord has been topping up at these levels.Seems odd though the share price action, no sign of any decent recovery yet despite them stating that year end trading profit puts them, by my quick calcs, on a lowly PE of about 7. Appreciate that the industrials could be the drag as well as the ConvaTec claim/counter claim, but even so.Hopefully results and outlook on the 23rd will get it moving, otherwise can't see it doing much until then.

Considering the shareprice had been at 105 or below on several occasions since mid March, I would count that getting 20% away at this level isn't a complete disaster.
And if any PI is feeling left out, they can buy at 1%-2% above the placing level.
We'll see who's taken part too - there are bound to be a few "shareholdings" RNSs to come in the next couple of days.

What a peculiar day yesterday. I have hardly ever mentioned insider dealing on these forums, but highlighted two stocks yesterday with unusual activity which does make you wonder:

SCPA - This stock had been falling and then in a panic like move fell over 10% with sellers keen to get out. Today they have announced a placing.

DUKE - Highlighted the unusually large buying coming into the stock. Today they have announced a positive update (even more so in this environment) which has resulted in the stock being the second highest gainer on the board with the stock currently up 28%.

Coincidence?

<---Highly sceptical

Actually I have left it. Markets look jittery this week . Don’t want to be committed to a big chunk of placing shares and broker cant get me a strike price

It can work well but it can be a disaster. RTN shares were placed at 58p and they romped initially. Look at them now

PI's locked out of placing despite it representing 20% of company. Will be interesting to see what price it gets filled at.
