Pension is a non issue. If you really believe that corporate bond yields should be at 5% you need your head examined. At 6% the deficit nearly disappears.
Even the trustees of the scheme appear relaxed, so why are investors worried.

Not another silly scare abour pension deficits.

SCPA have a well worked out agreement in place with their Pension Fund Trustees. The medium term cash cost of this is easily affordable.

crookers, what about that ballooooning pension deficit? compared to the market cap and shareholder funds etc, it makes the earnings per share rather a marginal issue - i take it you dumped as a result?

IOf these are ahead this year then the 2.6p eps going forward could be somewhat higher imo - putting these on a rather low fwd PE imo.

3p eps + next year looks easily possible imo.

Directors were buying 350K back in August not much lower than this level.

Rather illiquid but that's how you get the bargains imo, when there's a seller about.
