Frauddy - surely you're bankrupt by now having blown £1m in Careless Capital (CARE)?

How can you have done so badly in such a bull market?

You've missed your chance here now that stock has cleared, in my opinion - best just get your shrunked wad out and pay the price perhaps.

imo.

but the balance sheet is ghastly..........take out the pension deficit and goodwill, and it needs a low single figure pe to justify the market cap....surely.....?

Another director buy.

in 2007 they had a big asbestos problem I think you'll find. I think that still might not have been sorted by then.

Just doing some work on SCPA now. My initial impression is that clearly going on the Nov interims it is turning around with margin recovery, good cash, and a return to solid profit. However back in 2007 it reported £12.9M profit yet price was still only in the high 20s.

What has changed now that it should be on a much higher multiple?

Nice buys going through - Morgan Stanley done selling I reckon perhaps, reckon their dump hit the mkt yesterday and now the stock's being bought up if so.

Morgan Stanley doing just what Standard Life did to FCCN and destroying value buy dumping.

FD bought 250K at this level a couple of months back - I think SCPA will post a year end trading statement soon, when MS have finished dumping - they don't have many left imo, went under 3% recently.

RBC have simply taken the slug disposed by Morgan Stanley - the amounts tally up. Of course we knew a buyer had taken those up since every sell results in a buyer(s) at the other end. We now know these went to a single holder, RBC.

But it removes the overhang. MS are below 3%, and even if they have a few, there cannot be many left after the recent sales. They are no longer obliged to notify, but any buying activity over the coming weeks should see it resume the upward trajectory.

No probs.

I notice Royal Bank of Canada have just bought nearly 5% - reckon they might have cleared the seller perhaps - that director might have been tipped off by his broker that the seller was done too imo, hence his buy last week.

I think once the seller disappears here these are set for a big move. Year end at the end of March - reckon they will have a trading update then imo, with the way they did in H1 and the director buying since they must be well ahead imo.

Incidentally, it might be worth noting that Brewin Dolphin recently gave Scapa an ADD recommendation. Make of it what you will.

We might not get an update for a while, and the next update will be the year-end numbers I guess. Scapa have a habit of not releasing an IMS, and thus there is no reason to expect one anytime soon.

All,

I see a bit of selling occured yesterday. Morgan Stanley appear to be the cause of that, and have notified the market that they are now below 3%.

With the overhang probably (or nearly) entirely removed, we might see a bit of progress.

I'm still holding - the FD buying a load a couple of months back says hold, add or buy imo.

Quite funny isn't it CR.

I added on the dip, but didn't get as many as I wanted really, and the move North has begun again now....but I am happy with the amount I now have....

LOL - 3 little buys and the mm's rachet up the price - taking the pee, they have little stock imo and the recent mark down was nonsense to trigger a few sellers imo.
