03/6/2021 17:47 | So....travel from Portugal is now on the Amber list, because they are worried that new variants (80 cases in total in Portugal) may bypass our vaccine shield - according to Grant Shapps.Judging from the lack of investment in better vaccines by the government, they are lying to us.... | emptyend

02/6/2021 22:27 | TF, Tndian variant spreading like wild fire apparently. A million on the streets at the weekend, no masks, hugging, shaking hands, all fit and healthy. So you have got no symptoms but believe that because the PCR Test gave you a positive you believe you have the virus. Have they removed your Critical Thinking in the last year ? | panama7
02/6/2021 22:20 | Thanks Inan. Yes I see the irony but stand by all my comments about UK border control etc. Boris is pondering changes to holiday zones - I guess Thailand might be made a red zone so if I ever get to the UK, I'll have to quarantine on entry too Ha Ha ! I've no idea where my infection came from - maybe a chance encounter doing the shopping (fully masked of course) on the way back from lonely bike rides. Otherwise we've been locked down and extremely careful. Having spent a day in the Covid ward at the Public Hospital I am truly grateful to be in a position to be somewhere else. For perspective, Thailand has had 165,000 cases so far compared with the UK's 4.5 million. And 16 deaths per million compared with the UK, 1873. I've had just the smallest taste of these horrors but I know what a terrible time it's been in the UK for everyone this last year or more. I'd say 'see you soon' but won't tempt fate ! | torquayfan
02/6/2021 20:58 | Inane, TF has not got the virus you idiot. I would have thought that someone like you who knows all about the Science would understand how something so simple as a PCR Test works and how it can be manipulated. TF why don't you do what those 4 German tourists did last year in Portugal when they were forced to quarantine. They took legal action and won the case. The Judge in summarising stated the PCR Test is not fit for purpose. Why do you think Florida has been fully open for months with zero restrictions. Gov Ron de Santis spoke to the right people and decided the PCR Test was not fit for purpose and he would not make decisions based on corrupt Science. | panama7
02/6/2021 17:51 | Bad luck Tf wish you well ....... It got you after all even thou you would love to advise the UK Gov on how to avoid it ....... | inanaco
02/6/2021 16:26 | REALITY ??? Is 15p 'On the CARDS' ??? or Is 15p 'out of the question' Again ??? . Meanwhile Elsie seems to think the daily number of trades is of more import, than the PRICE of those trades And / Or Whether those number of trades are buys or SELLS appears to be of little or no CONsequence | the real lozan
02/6/2021 16:16 | EE, if only there was a decent test instead of a corrupt fraudulent one. Torquay just think of how many 100's of thousands of others who have had their lives turned upside down by testing positive when they are not. | panama7
02/6/2021 14:28 | I've added another 5% to my holding today. I sense some are getting bored with a lack of news - but my guess is that news isn't far away now. Let us hope it is positive.... | emptyend
02/6/2021 13:59 | Torquay, after all this time you still haven't worked out how the PCR test has been used that is even funnier. FFS research Kary Mullis. | panama7
02/6/2021 13:56 | Torquay, laughing my head off, so you were let down by a corrupt fraudulent PCR Test. As all of you posters keep saying on here trust the Science. The funny thing is Torquay you will have to go through the same process again when you rebook. To be honest getting on a long haul flight after the jab with all these blood costs would be taking a risk wouldn't it | panama7
02/6/2021 13:44 | EE I'll drink to that ! And just spotted this Sinovac ! | torquayfan
02/6/2021 13:38 | Sorry to hear of the inconvenience. If only there was a decent vaccine....;-) | emptyend
02/6/2021 13:23 | The best laid schemes . . . . I would have been landing at LHR today in a few hours time. But, after a positive PCR Covid test on Sunday and a negative test on Monday, I am holed up in quarantine / treatment at my local BKK Hospital in a low pressure room - 'release' date 13/6. This is going to cost me a fortune so let's hope Scancell find some good news for me soon. Thankfully my Wife returned a negative test. I'd guess I'd been infected for a week or more prior to the test despite being very careful. Doc says I have a light viral load and atm I'm doing well so I am hopeful, despite age and precons, to get through. The first Hospital test result was advised in a confusing way which is why I took a second test, before being collared for quarantine by 'Public Health'. I see 2 possible conclusions - a) I recovered completely between Sunday and Monday (very unlikely) or b) one of the PCR tests was inaccurate. Curiously, the first test (positive) was a scant effort and the second (negative), rigorous !! All very strange. Boris will be very disappointed as we were to meet so I could give him advice on border control - unfortunately or rather fortunately for my UK family, this particular demand for a negative test in the 3 days before setting off, seems to be spot on. Take care and ATB | torquayfan
02/6/2021 12:58 | I don't know whether anyone read that paper I linked yesterday, but I was very impressed with the HD-MAP device, which I'd never previously heard of. It looks to me like it might be a good delivery vehicle for sclp. A couple of links: | supernumerary

02/6/2021 12:20 | 65m+ vaccinations and rising. Now we can get back to focusing on the most vulnerable beyond covid, well before other countries that have lagged on the vax front. How wonderful to be born into a country that has such capability, such ability to diagnose and vaccinate at scale, and a population with the ability to separate good sense from total garbage :) | wigwammer
02/6/2021 12:14 | Panama, Did you watch the C4 program?I'm afraid journalists have a nasty habit of uncovering the truth. | gazza |
