UKG, would presume that it is the conference that they tweeted about - link on LSE site. Also interesting background of the new Portuguese minister who is steeped in mining and engineering. Should be supportive of companies that are doing it right.

Thanks George, only just read my emails.

Left it late in the month but hey better late than never.

Hopefully we'll have the new JORC Resource estimates for NOA and drilling results in this next week.

Where are the drill results, where are the partners shortlisted? That is the third of the year passed, as I always said, this is a slow burner except for money-burning.Setting your own timeline & not meeting it is very much pi*s poor. The waiting goes on.Ps; telling the LSE plonker we do not need his pumping, please.Gl all

To be fair, the company has advised that they would be releasing the drill results for NOA by the end of the month and would be organising some sort of online investor update by the end of the month. He does preface by saying 'potentially game changing week' which depended on two things; firstly, that the company had supplied and arranged as detailed and secondly, the information proved to be of interest.Whilst an RNS with the drilling results is on the press of a button so could easily drop, from the experience of other companies, there would tend to be some notice to setup an online event. It was perhaps not an unreasonable expectation that something would have been heard, with only Mon/Tue next week remaining. I don't think he is responsible for either current 'no shows'.Perhaps a bit of an unnecessary dig, but each to their own.

I did read the negatives about sodium and took them on board, reading between the lines I am rightly or wrongly getting the impression that evs and particularly lithium evs are not the future.
I have an ev van the book says range is 108 miles on a full charge, the true range with it loaded I drove from my home in Shoreham-by-Sea to my sisters in Eastbourne about 30 miles and it used 77% of the fully charged battery. For my normal use it is fine as 95% of my work is within 5 miles from home.
I thought that graphene was going to be a big thing in the future I have got 2000 freebie shares in VRS at the time I top sliced they were worth about £1600.00 now they are worth £2.20 do not want to watch my paid for shares in SAV do the same ( I do not think they will otherwise I would have sold my freebies as well).

Did you read about the negatives of Sodium?

“drawback, however, is low energy density. For EV manufacturers, low energy density batteries are problematic because this affects a vehicle's range. While lithium batteries have energy densities between 150-220 Wh/kg (watt-hour per kilogram), sodium batteries have an lower energy density range of 140-160 Wh/kg. Meng says this means it's less likely that sodium batteries will be commercially scaled for use in EVs that require long ranges between charges.

Another hurdle is sodium batteries can only manage a short number of charging cycles in its lifespan. Currently, sodium batteries have a charging cycle of around 5,000 times, whereas lithium-iron phosphate batteries (a type of lithium-ion battery) can be charged between 8,000-10,000 times.”

Well done for walking away with your money in your back pocket and holding some free share profit!

The price should go up now I sold my holding of 65k today for a very small profit after reading this article last night.

Still hold 40k of freebies but feel I have waited long enough without much happening and decided to take my money and invest elsewhere.

IB, the next tweet from 19th April contained a link to this article.

A little further down the value chain are mining and metals providers for whom the provision of critical raw materials, and the creation of net-zero carbon economies, is central to their business plans.

One example is UK-headquartered junior miner, Savannah Resources. As the operator of the Barroso Lithium Project in Portugal (one of the most significant lithium spodumene resources in Europe), Savannah’s primary focus is the lithium-battery value chain feeding downstream users in the transport and energy storage sectors.

Transport is the second largest generator of emissions after the power sector, with the automotive industry producing 3.53 billion cubic tonnes of CO2 emissions from cars and vans in 2022.

Savannah’s CEO, Emanuel Proença, explained: “Reducing emissions from everyday travel is essential for meeting global carbon reduction targets. Electric vehicles (EV), powered by lithium-ion batteries, are at the forefront of this initiative, making lithium a critical material.

“I’m very proud of the work we’re doing, with Savannah poised to assist Europe in reaching its EV and transport sector emission goals by providing a local source of lithium.”

Savannah’s overarching strategy is to responsibly supply European lithium for Europe’s energy transition. Once in full production, Barroso is expected to produce enough lithium for approximately 0.5 million vehicle battery packs per annum. This will aid in accelerating the energy transition by facilitating the lithium battery supply chain in Europe.

Yes, I looked in briefly yesterday afternoon and wondered why the share price went up. That's still a good sized buy. And yes IB it is only 1.828B today and 1.830B tomorrow when the CEO's bonus shares are admitted.

There were also a couple of chunky sells once the share price went up that's why it came back down, Reba.

Looks like we can expect some positive press after yesterday's tweet as well as some news in the next few weeks.

"#SAV was delighted to welcome @SICNoticias
and Kathleen Araújo at our Boticas Information Centre for an interview with our CEO, Emanuel Proença.

We had the chance to discuss the important role the Project (#BLP) can play for the local community and its role in driving progress for Portugal and Europe as an essential critical raw materials project for #energytransition.

We also highlighted #SAV's dedication to responsibly developing and operating the Project, ensuring that it upholds rigorous environmental and social standards."

Didn't the same outfit film a western type movie in Boticas some years ago?

It isn't that massive, when you consider we have near 6Bn shares in issue.

The resource upgrade and more importantly an off take agreement with a chunk of up front cash are the real catalysts.

The project NPV is about US$1Bn and the mkt cap is about a tenth of that. Safe region, unlikely to see massive changes to tax/resource nationalism. In Europe, near new lithium refineries.

Still a slow burner. But heading in the right direction.
