BW, likewise in Sunday Telegraph. Indeed SAV gets a mentionAnother key element in the EV revolution is lithium, demand for which is tipped to increase 15-fold. Aim-listed Savannah Resources has just struck a deal to buy four lithium deposits in Portugal, hoping to become the "first significant lithium producer in Europe". Lithium, as the name suggests, is a key element in lithium-ion batteries. Europe consumes 25pc of global production. Savannah sees an opportunity to a supplier in Europe's backyard. Boss David Archer believes the "repositioning" of the transport and energy industries as demand for battery storage increases provides huge opportunities for smaller miners to get in on the act. "These changes will be somewhat titanic in scale," he Goes on to comment about hydrogen development as well, at least for cars

Interesting article in the Sunday times today about Hydrogen powered cars which only emit water vapour. Honda make one which has a bit waiting list in the states. The UK is way behind on that technology as no infrastructure to support them has been built.

Dale doesn't muck about. He is interested in good quality stuff. Suspect that he has introduced SAV as the entrepreneurial team that will be able to take a smaller local project to an international market, quickly and efficiently. With the RT JV, and the Omani project as examples, I would agree BW, the Portugal assets are the skin in the game so there is precious little reason to flip those share, quite aside that they are only really earned once their worth is proved up.I shall look forward to the resource later in the year. The cash basically would help refund the cash spent to date on the initial outlining of the potential resource. Together, all parties will benefit - that sort of deal appeals.

Just been reading the RNS, it is huge. Shares issued at the current market price, so no selling forward really possible; people should be locked in.Main exploration was for ceramics purposes.

Good push today, price action was slightly odd. I think maybe the market anticipated another placing.

I notice the website is being updated. Interesting to look at the list if you click on assets. Is the list in order of importance?

Ged5 - I think that it is the lack of Oman and Moz news that is holding things back here and maybe the perception by some that the lack of news equates to something being an issue in the background???

Not fully digested the RNS yet. (Slightly fuzzy head after last night's victory).

A bit of light relief after the atrocities earlier in the week at a venue that I and my family regularly attend.

It seems to me that the company expected a better reaction. There have been four tweets so far this morning. The latest being:-

Portuguese govt has established a #lithium working group to bring focus to the dev of Li industries in #portugal -

On first reading this seems a very good move. There's a mining lease, near production, payment with small dilution and a supportive government. Those shares are tied in for some time.

The only reason I can see for the selling is short termers disappointed at the lack of news from Moz and Oman.

So samples being taken in April yet not a word until now! What else is going on?

Thought this would have put a couple of pence on the price, hopefully he can get the message out there.

Sorry that sounded negative, I'm not, I like it, just a bit cautious to add more at the mo, maybe wait for the next raise.

Two of the projects we have major partners and this one looks near term viable so not worried, think it is great news and DA has his eye on the future huge uplift in electric car purchases.

Yep, the spike was because it was being pumped mercilessly. Fewer shares in issue then too, only about 100mm so when DA took over not many shares to go round and it drove the price up. I was 25 up on it at one point as had 250k shares in the old AME.

Can anyone remember or does anyone know why there was such a big spike and then drop in 2011 and 2014 for SAV? I also hope the 'very soon' re the report is now 'extremely' soon
