19/2/2017 19:43 | Ged5, good find on the Finland details. Will look to read through the 'heavy stuff' this evening at some stage.Would seem to be preparing itself for a push up, which is always good. | inbrackets
19/2/2017 14:38 | Thanks BW! Worth reading further in that link. Shows how far we have to go before production there. Didn't get to listen to this earlier in the week. From Tuesday:- hxxp://www.proactive Potential by-product of Zinc in Oman Significant global resource in Mozambique. Rising prices of ilmenite. | ged5
19/2/2017 13:27 | Great research Ged. Once we get some cash flowing going from Oman DA can really put his foot on the gas wth that project. | broncowarrior
19/2/2017 12:46 | That seems about right SJ. Indeed BW I was checking through recent announcements to remind myself of the news to expect in the coming months and got stuck looking at the least likely prospect to produce the next news. 22nd December RNS DA wrote this:- "I look forward to providing further updates on our exploration programme in the New Year as we continue to prove up the resource potential of these assets." Reading through the rest of the RNS I realised that I had misunderstood the prospects in Finland. Previously I thought it was spodumene and when I originally read the RNS didn't realise petalite was different. From the same RNS "Two of the pegmatites sampled returned anomalous lithium results with the most significant of these being the Torkkomaki, which contains massive zones of petalite, with results returning a high-grade lithium assay result of 4.47% Li2O (Figure 3). Mapping has traced the petalite zone for over 150m which remains open along strike in both directions." Now for anyone else like me who knows nothing about petalite:- "The Separation Rapids deposit is one of the largest “complex-type& Petalite is the preferred lithium mineral feedstock for certain specialty glass-ceramic products. The most familiar consumer applications are Corningware® cookware and Ceran® stovetops. Petalite is preferred over other lithium alternatives in glass-ceramic products for technical reasons, notably its consistently low impurity levels. The petalite found at the Separation Rapids deposit contains very low levels of impurities, also offering potential for a high purity lithium chemical product at a relatively low-cost, to serve the needs of lithium ion re-chargeable battery manufacturers. Growing demand for rechargeable batteries in electric vehicles and home energy storage is expected to result in continued rapid growth in global consumption of lithium. Many industry analysts are predicting that the demand for lithium will double over the next 5-10 years, creating a supply deficit, as existing producers struggle to meet the new demand." These extracts are from:- There's also a paper written on the extraction of Lithium from petalite from Bikita Minerals in Zimbabwe but it's heavy going. Perhaps not the time to get excited but maybe we have something special in Finland. | ged5
17/2/2017 17:59 | Nice finish to the week. | broncowarrior
17/2/2017 11:50 | Well from the main chart above - you'll see that it has bounced off the bottom of the upward trend channel that started in January 2016. Based on that trending channel and the recent 3 months sideways movement and we should move to the 8p level in the next month. That in turn would open up the new 8-10p channel for the summer and should be supported by the expected news flow and as we head towards the still planned end of 2017 production start up in Oman. | seagullsslimjim
17/2/2017 09:28 | Could this pattern be considered a pennant or maybe a flag. I think the pattern at 4p was a flag. hxxp://stockcharts.c | ged5
17/2/2017 09:18 | First buy of the day brings the first tick up of the day. Now 4 v 3 Bid moved up slightly to 5.9125 Really bored! | ged5
17/2/2017 09:07 | Level 2 improved late yesterday afternoon to 3 v 1. 5.95 v 6 5.9001 being given for sells. Wonder if a large buy order was put in yesterday. I must be bored! | ged5
16/2/2017 12:21 | Yes! I wouldn't be too surprised to have news next week to propel us to that range. Reading the articles in the links you can see the disruption of the copper markets by the Chilean workers and others. The largest deposits of lithium brine is in Chile. Spodumene is faster to produce from and that's what I thought we had in Finland. (see later post) Just a thought:- could DA be looking at a cobalt or graphite acquisition? | ged5
16/2/2017 12:00 | Coming to the end of the 3 month share price consolidation period from looking at the main chart! Next leg should therefore see us into the 8 - 10p range | seagullsslimjim
16/2/2017 09:45 | Thanks BW, much better today. SJ that made me chuckle. Several tweets this week on the website. Thank goodness everyone is safe from the cyclone. Safety I'm sure is everybody's main concern. Just shows the need for good management. They were well prepared. Only limited damage and everyone safe. I suspect the early warning of the cyclone spooked some and maybe caused the flat line. Maybe now time for some vertigo! | ged5
15/2/2017 13:58 | Sorry to hear that Ged, hope you are ok. Yep, seems a bit range bound at the moment 5.5-6ish, need some material news to move it north. Think that is fair enough given current mcap. | broncowarrior
14/2/2017 12:41 | Thought I was going to die yesterday. Just to say what wonderful people we have in the health service. Paramedics wonderful. Call in centre in Stockport wonderful. Turned out to be vertigo. Horrible. Won't post for a while. Good luck all. Looks like we're going back up. | ged5
12/2/2017 16:05 | Ged, may well have a dip. Looking to get back into VOG and AMER also looks good. Worth reading Malcy's discussion with IG which was posted on the VOG thread, he smashed it out of the park last year. | broncowarrior
11/2/2017 16:12 | Hi Highly Geared, I'm also invested in ARS. Regarding JV in Moz, we are in a JV with Rio Tinto who have already agreed to 100% offtake from Mutamba asset. As Ged pointed out, our stake of the project increases as we hit milestones i.e. Scoping,PFS and FS. We will hold a 51% stake when complete on a tier 1 asset. Mining on this asset is due to start 2018 on the high grade part of the deposit first which will give quick payback that's why they are concentrating on Ravene first with super low cost capex extraction. 11/2/2017 13:46 | Thanks GED; much appreciated. | highly geared
11/2/2017 12:53 | At the moment SAV only have 10% but this will double next month on completion of the scoping study. It will eventually rise to 51%. There's also an offtake agreement with Rio Tinto. There are also some extra perks including full access to the "state of the art" laboratory in Mozambique and Rio's staff. There are also very low costs involved. For further details if you haven't read the December presentation it's on the front page of the website. hxxp://savannahresou David Archer gave an interview last week at mining Indaba. He stated scoping study in 4 or so weeks. Link is given in post 2574 | ged5
11/2/2017 11:59 | GED, further question on Mutamba, have SAV given any timescales on scoping study completion to provide a PEA so some NAV number can be ascribed? Thanks in advance. | highly geared
11/2/2017 11:54 | Thanks GED, much appreciated. I have a holding of ARS but the copper grades here look very impressive as well + they're well on board with the Oman govt.ARS has some gigantic assets but Indonesia is the risk factor. In terms of the heavy minerals asset here, any thoughts on end value to SAV?I know they're looking at a JV but any speculation on terms if the partner is putting up the funding? | highly geared
11/2/2017 10:55 | Early days for the Lithium projects Highly Geared. The ground was snow covered until March last year so drilling is likely to resume in April. There are 2 assay results which give great hope: 4.47% at Somero and 1.56% at Erajarvi. This may or may not become a great resource but personally I think it will take at least 2-3 years. By then if everything goes to plan the Oman copper mine and the THM (mainly Ilmenite at the moment) mine will be in production. You won't then be able to buy SAV at these low prices. If you're thinking of investing contact David Archer or Michael McGarty. Both respond and go out of their way to answer non price sensitive questions. Buying more here BW? Maybe the higher copper prices will be reflected in the share price next week! | ged5
10/2/2017 21:18 | Thanks Ged, made a few grand. Was 3 grand down last week so thought I'd bank a few today. | broncowarrior
10/2/2017 18:43 | Any news on when SAV will progress the Lithium asset to Resource Definition stage? Lithium the hot resource at the moment re: next 10-15 year demand projections. | highly geared
10/2/2017 17:42 | copper up 4% this afternoon and getting ready to enter a new trading range | seagullsslimjim |
