10/8/2020 22:12 | An EIAR requires a decommissioning plan but a bit silly to include it the 16 years period. You never know how long decommissioning is going to take as it will partly depend on the digging/mining and waste. Now I am not concerned about the anti mining folk as they are everywhere (in all countries) that a mine is being proposed/developed. It is only when good jobs come on line that locals see the benefit although some folk like to be very green but also like to drive cars and live in houses with fridges/cookers etc. -materials that are all sourced from mining. I do agree with a good decommission plan. | 1teemore
06/8/2020 11:06 | Maybe DA is finally getting close with some serious news , take of agreement/ discussions will do nicely . | jotoha2
06/8/2020 09:42 | A long report so I guess everyone still reading it. There seem to be so many benefits for the local population, Portugal and for Europe that's it's very difficult to reason that this project will not go ahead. Didn't the share price start going down yesterday but recovered in the afternoon. Not becoming leaky, surely? | ged5
05/8/2020 12:11 | I think it's only fair to mention that I've had it confirmed that the 16 years mentioned in the film does include construction, commissioning, operation, decommissioning and rehabilitation. | ged5
04/8/2020 22:21 | Read the article earlier. Bit of a plea for the West Midlands but he didn't seem to realise that there are quite a lot of giga factories already being built so 'winning' is perhaps optimistic. As far as SAV is concerned, any production has to be refined and currently not available in Europe let alone UK. Will that be 'delayed' to knit in with possible future European refining capacity as UK refining capacity is looking likely to be even later. Not sure that UK will be a target market for SAV raw material given the likely demand from EU Based battery manufacturers and OEMs, quite aside from any current or likely future EBA and EU funding support. If there is, suspect it would be a small portion. | inbrackets
04/8/2020 21:11 | Interesting article in the Telegraph today , promoting a Giga factory complex in the UK , for Lithium Battery development , hope DA is in there pushing our material capabilities . | jotoha2
04/8/2020 16:44 | Drilling? That costs so not sure that will be high priority at present.Start of and the subsequent progress of 80 day public consultation period is a key period, linked with any Portuguese moves to develop refining capacity with any EU backing.OEM and battery makers may make further moves to secure supplies. The wider macros may be of greater interest with greater impact on SAVs sp, they just need to have their heads down, completing the bits they have control over as best and as effectively as possible, making sure they are able to supply when it's needed. | inbrackets
04/8/2020 16:25 | It's hard to tell with this stupid virus causing havoc. Drilling recommences Results from any outstanding drilling Metallurgical results Oman sale Mozambique progression Anything else Yes I agree the chart is our best hope! | ged5
04/8/2020 15:56 | Well the EIA isn't likely to happen until April 2021, and I can't see any potential customers signing anything prior to that. So I'm not to optimistic on the news front. But the chart is telling us something else. | ukgeorge
04/8/2020 15:36 | Depends on your time frame, George. There's going to be plenty of news but when will it happen? | ged5
04/8/2020 15:22 | Fingers crossed I bought a small amount, not risking much given DA's tendency to do deeply discounted rights issues and that there is little news on the horizon. I'm hoping for some EU funding announcement then will sell some on the spike(probably wishful thinking). | ukgeorge
04/8/2020 15:17 | Building slow today. Asking full offer to buy. Might not take too much for an upward movement. You might get your spike then, George. | ged5
03/8/2020 11:28 | yes certainly looks like it is about to spike | ukgeorge
03/8/2020 11:04 | Chart is starting to look interesting , time to get some more for the breakout when it comes. | jotoha2
31/7/2020 11:07 | Just so Ed doesn't offend any Portuguese it could also be classed as Europe's front door too. :) Regards, Ed. | edgein
31/7/2020 11:05 | Truth, The greens want lithium, they just hate that it needs to be dug out of the ground. Just don't tell them where the electricity comes from (natural gas). Looks like you've come in at a good time. Lith prices have came down since the SS days for sure but the DFS should be rock solid. And you're not going to get the same quality shallow lith deposit right on Europe's back door anywhere else! The ad/video is a good promotional tool. Get that and the upcoming DFS to do the rounds in Europe (I'm sure DA has started this process months ago). DA just has to prove that its the key asset in the EV chain that he says it is and get the job done. Us holders would just like the equity element of any potential prevailing funding package a little higher perhaps. :) Regards, Ed. | edgein
31/7/2020 10:40 | I'm not accusing anyone of telling lies. SAV only does the usual polishing of numbers in PR outlets. But the horse of 16 a of Mine Life is dead. It was and still is 11. You may confirm it in the Executive Summary of an economic impact study, SAV contracted and elaborated with a local faculty. Released just a few days ago, page 3: "Contempla a extração de cerca de 1.300.000 toneladas/ano de pegmatito litinífero ... durante um período de 11 anos." hxxps://minadobarros | alexandre martins c de lima
31/7/2020 10:14 | Hi Ged5. Only around 6 months - so I have not seen the rollocoaster the rest of you have. I was looking for a lithium play and came across this one. I bought my shares. Then by chance ended up at a dinner with some of the more environmentally minded, well connected people from Porto! My argument for them was that I'm not great on mining generally, but we do need lithium! | truthbetold
31/7/2020 09:49 | Ged, ADVFN is littered with whingers and snowflakes. But just do what you do and ignore them. SAV still has quality assets, sure MdB is getting there slowly but surely, but its down to DA to promote this and get us some European grant money or one of the large car manufacturers to support the building of battery manufacture in Portugal. Its all on his shoulders now. According to DA we're a vital part of the lithium battery value chain, well if so and if the European commission et al are all green these days lets see them prove it with some cash, ECB backed etc. W resources I think it was managed to get European grant money for their tungsten asset. So lets see what DA can achieve on this vital battery metal asset. Because if he lands some grant or offtake money just after the DFS then full project funding could be done higher than at 2p per share. But this is all down to DA. News flow here has been much more sporadic since the conclusion of the exploration and reserve/infill drilling, as you would expect from a small miner, so I may also be posting sporadically too. But we should now be close to that DFS. I've a large lump of these in my bottom drawer but it would be nice to see DA get a bit of momentum back in here before they need to fund MdB. Regards, Ed. | edgein
31/7/2020 09:47 | I've been here since the beginning when this company was called African Mining and Exploration so have seen plenty of ups and downs! Had a 6 bagger at one point. Didn't cash out. Hey ho. | broncowarrior
31/7/2020 09:17 | Welcome Truthbetold. New to ADVFN but how long have you been in SAV? | ged5
31/7/2020 09:12 | I expect there will be many ups and downs in this saga. As someone from Porto said to me recently "No one would care if this mine was down South, but the money is in the North and they will object". Anyway, I'm staying around through the ups and downs. In the end, Europe needs good lithium supplies - and Portugal needs all the help it can get financially with the tourist industry in dire straits. | truthbetold
31/7/2020 07:07 | Just watched the video, very professional. No doubt it can create lots of direct jobs also support the local economy as more people come into the area. Two year development. | broncowarrior
30/7/2020 18:38 | “This landmark refinancing of our long-term debt facilities is an outstanding achievement for Pilbara Minerals, representing the first time that a lithium raw materials player of our size has attracted conventional, syndicated project financing at such a competitive cost,” said MD and CEO Ken Brinsden on Thursday." | busraker1
29/7/2020 16:35 | Hi Ed, Good to see you posting again. HG has also re-appeared. Great to have sensible posters here who give good quality posts. I don't mind the counter arguments in fact I welcome them but some of the riff-raff who come on here with misleading statements or downright lies.. well time for the filter. | ged5 |
