23/1/2015 16:30 | I've been looking into Savannah these past few days. 2015 could be a transformational year for this Company. Please though, DYOR. Savannnah Petroleum R1/R2 area 30.5% CNPC 69.5 % of Agadem Block The R1/R2 area was relinquished in July 2013 by Chinas' CNPC as it advanced Oilfield developments in the surrounding areas. The Chinese had drilled almost 100 wells in the entire Agaden Block with 77 discoveries between 2008 and 2013, before contractual obligations meant it had to relinquish a portion of the acreage. An FTG survey ( Full Tensor Gravity Gradiometry ) is currently being carried out by Savannah which will be integrated with 2D and 3D seismic. The twin otter plane is being flown from CNPC's airstrip near the permit area. Explo. drilling is planned in mid 2015. The R1/R2 permit is estimated as having the potential ( CGG Robertson CPR ) to contain up to 819 mill. barrels of gross prospective resources. Savannah are investing $ US 90 mill. in 2015, part of the money will be used to drill five exploration wells and conduct an environmental impact study. Agadem block 69.5% CNPC ownership and operator. Estimates have recently been revised upwards by CNPC from 650 mmbls to 1 billion + They have already drilled 165 wells within the Agadem block. They are currently drilling an additional 114. There is a ' feeding frenzy ' going on because the Oil is trapped. CNPC consider both Bilma and Tenere to have a 1 million tonnes per year potential. They are stating the refinery at Zinder refinery must be able to cope with this 1 million tonnes per year. CNPC are currently laying a further 1043 kms of pipeline in the region. Transfer of Oil from Agadem to Local markets and export (a) Pipeline Oil is being transported by CNPC through the CNPC pipeline from Agadem to the Soraz refinery, built by CNPC and which processes 20,000 bopd. This 20,000 barrels is all being refined into petrol etc for the local market. Oil for export will be transported by a new pipeline being built from Agadem to join up with the neighbouring Chad - Cameroon pipeline by 2016. This goes to the Kribi port on the Cameroon coast. This is how Savannah I assume, will export their Oil. (b) Roads CNPC have agreed to invest US $ 200 million in order to build roads between Agadem and Chad. Soraz refinery at the town of Zinder It became Operational on Nov. 28th 2011. The refinery is receiving 20,000 barrels of Oil a day from the Agadem Block. CNPC built it. Soraz gets 44,200 tonnnes of Liquid Petroleum Gas per annum. Shenshui Oil & Gas who are the sole, strategic partner of the Niger government operate from the Zinder refinery. The Niger govt. want their Oil export capacity to reach 80,000 bopd by 2018. They are looking to increase overall daily output from 20,000 - 40,000 - 80,0000 bopd. Thoughts please ? | bushman1 | |
