Can anyone confirm whether the dividends are currently getting paid at the full 10.375%, or net of tax, at 9.33%? I'm particularly interested in the situation in an ISA.

There is quite a discrepancy between SAN and SANB. Both have same payment dates but sanb seems to be yielding around 6.8 while san is still around 7.5 even after a bit of an uptick today. I reckon it should be trading best part of 10 points higher. I have bought more today.

Excellent results reported from the parent company today, cet 12% taking into account impairments and the business throwing of astonishing profits from a diversified global portfolio.

Given the Aviva prefs issue and censure by the FCA as well as general condemnation from capital markets, for me, the risks of a forced cancellation or something like that at anything below the current market value, are low. It would take an extremely brave Board given what happened to Aviva. Google the IA GUIDELINES ON THE REDEMPTION OR CANCELLATION OF IRREDEEMABLE PREFERENCE SHARES. This talks about having regard for fair market value. Now it’s not regulation, so a firm could ignore it. But again, I’m not sure an underhand cancellation of “irredeemable” prefs at £1 would pass sign off from Compliance, Risk, or any NEDs…let alone the Exec in the first place. Tender like Lloyds did recently at a reasonable premium seems more likely. Just my view.

There are many reasons why they wouldn't force it through, I think the point is that it would relatively easy for them as these things go compared to other securities as they hold upwards of 60%... My concern would be higher interest rates dropping prices to where they can pick them up at par, especially with 2026 fast approaching....

Its a rather different situation if they make an offered exchange / price than a forced exchange / price
NBWD and LLPC/LLPD made a tender offer, which I accepted gladly
The only one I have been forced by is Lloyds ECNs........so far

I’m pretty sure San haven’t purchased anything here as their institutional holders would know what was going on and certainly not settle for 130something.
Hold tightly. Not advice!
