22/2/2006 10:28 | see what i mean - both sage and autonomy making gains in a weak market sage AGM coming up in a couple of weeks, should be interesting | johnsmithbillion
16/2/2006 10:37 | jpmorgan apparently say switch from sage into autonomy, but apparently ludicrous reasoning. i like both these companies | johnsmithbillion
15/2/2006 20:24 | johnsmithb..., Sooner or later you'll have to accept that you've missed the boat - these have moved to a new trading range. If you really believe that these are going to go down you should buy puts. Regards, Maddox | maddox

08/2/2006 17:45 | and dont forget this was the top performing UK stock of the 1990s. generates buckets loads of cash and underlying profits growing at a healthy rate, might even start to accelerate, and Verus might boost too. margins have been stable at around 27%, high ROCE, integrated acquisitions well ex-div today, i think 1.953p, so not down much | botwoman
08/2/2006 07:46 | I think you must equate....are you an investor, or a trader.?..there has been a "good" degree of volatilty in this stock for a long time now, and, given the upward trend, there still exists good potrntial for the investment aproach, though, "opportunities" to "trade " in and out remain as people jitter and or profit take......I have traded and invested in Sage over many years and like botwaoman says, can recall the 925 days. It´s all about what yuou want to do..sit back and watch..or get in and out. Don one, if it were a clear cut and exact science, we would all be millionares,....good luck everyone. | acronem

06/2/2006 08:59 | Jackson gone to play POKER, leaving us with a VOD man. I hope this works out, - VOD not exactly thriving is it? LONDON (AFX) - UK software company Sage Group PLC is to announce that its chairman, Michael Jackson, is stepping down to be replaced by outgoing Vodafone Group PLC deputy chief executive Sir Julian Horn-Smith, the Daily Telegraph reported. The announcement is likely to come at the group's annual meeting on March 2, the paper said. According to the Telegraph, Jackson's appointment last summer as chairman of online poker group PartyGaming PLC has raised concerns among shareholders at both groups over his ability to fulfil the two roles. UK corporate governance rules state that an individual should not be chairman of more than one FTSE 100 company. newsdesk@afxnews.com | lyntwyn
