It would be poor market etiquette if Zeus, having got their brokers to place a large lump then continued to sell into the market.

That said, the institutions probably got their fill on the placing, so no large buyers there for the moment. I think the market term is "indigestion" !

I accept that "placings" are usually associated with the creation and issue for cash of "new" shares.

A further block of 800,000 went to River & Mercantile, long-term pension fund managers, so most of the Zeus shares now look to be in good hands.

Yes, I agree.

I believe the Zeus shares were placed (or off-loaded) yesterday by Winterflood in their jobbing role.

Miton seem to have taken 1.3m and other brokers together with the jobber's (marketmaker's) own clients took the other 1 million.

Sorry for the old-fashioned terminology.

Be grateful if you could expand on your comment.Zeus exercised their warrants from the IPO, that was for 2.3 million shares which they may well be off loading. Miton purchased 1.3 million yesterday, who knows who purchased the remaining million.DD

Amended TR1 from Miton duly released tonight. Well done guys for spotting the errors.

The RNS also suggests that they have indeed participated in the placing of what I believe to be the Zeus Capital shareholding, priced at 222p.

Yes, the "sell" marks were the placing of the Zeus stock by jobber Winterflood.

The placing was fully supported which is why I was curious, like you and Imran, as the rather negative and erroneous Miton rns.

The latter should be corrected tomorrow afternoon.

Cheers DiscoDave4 - based on the volume today (9m shares were sold at around 9am this morning), I'd expect an RNS in the next couple of days.

Think the Miton holdings RNS is incorrect. The number of shares previous to the triggering transaction should be as per holdings RNS 18th Sept, namely 10,272,122 (not 10,270,944). Likewise number of voting rights (A+B+C) should be 10,270,944 (not 10,272,122).imranawan - As you say, looks like they have sold a small amount (1,178) - strange!.DD

It looks to me like marginally trimmed their holdings.

As they don't need the cash it perhaps increases the chance of a special dividend?

That reduces eps to 17.65p so a pe of 12.5x -probably about right .

Yes, should have done the simple calculation of the dilutive effect of the exercise of warrants. Reaction overdone as the total share in issue have gone up from 77.8 to 80.2 million approx which I make out to be 3% approx and the company has, of course, raised £2,3 million in the process.

I was expecting something in the works this has been on my buy watchlist for past few mths now. Over the past few days i have been watching the price drop for what seemed no real reason. Then today the RNS that Zeus Capital are exercising a warrant for 2m of shares.

Overall prospects still appear to remain strong its just declined due the issuing of 2m shares it seems.
