08/8/2017 11:00 | I called them today for a quote - they refused to come unless my wife was present. Needless to say they are off the list. | glaws2
08/8/2017 01:50 | Good to see the team are trying hard for the sales. That's what we need. They did what they did because it often works-though not with you. | shaker44

26/7/2017 09:47 | hxxps://steemit.com/ PlexCoin "the next cryptocurrency" confirmed scam Unlike many previous successful ICOs, PlexCoin's website has no mention of any sponsors or any information on their development team at all The PlexCoin and PlexCorps domains are both registered with domain privacy protection (business data is hidden in WHOIS lookups) - a reputable, honest business should not have to do this Their whitepaper is not available until after their pre-purchase period is finished and refunds are only allowed within the pre-purchase period | evil_doctor_facilier

18/7/2017 21:56 | Big - well done. It doesn't really matter if you are in this LONG TERM though. 30% off the price for soft trading doesn't mean much in the scale of things. Agreed, that it would have been better to sell and buy-back, with the benefit of hindsight, but I'm not a trader. I like to buy and hold good high quality shares and this still qualifies. Its pretty obvious that with the likes of Safestyle and Topps Tiles having flat sales then the weaker players in the industry are really going to be hurting. | topvest

18/7/2017 15:40 | Investors Chronicle had a video with Safestyle as recently as 11th July. While he spoke up the future of the company I got the impression that the CEO was not being that upbeat about current trading. It certainly didn't make me want to buy more. Perhaps it made some think twice about holding on. | salchow
18/7/2017 14:33 | Investors chronicle are only reviewing their prior advice as a result of this announcement today. Not from prior noise. I think the pattern of last few days highly suspicious. You don't. That's fine | shaker44

18/7/2017 14:21 | Further to the above N+1 Singer moved to sell on 18.05.17. That would have brought some of their investors out. They certainly would not have been buying more. Most other brokers reduced their targets around that time. This only pointed to a likely fall in price. | salchow
18/7/2017 14:12 | shaker44 - no I didn't assume you personally think all falls are due to insider action. I guess my comment was brought on more by the fact that I look on so many discussion boards where the price has fallen and people think that shorters or the market makers have taken advantage of them. I don't think the results are that bad but they are no longer showing a company growing at the present time. Comments on Stockopedia have been a bit negative in recent months and as you can see from another posting Paul Scott thinks the price got well above itself and has now reverted to more like what it should have been although he still would not buy at this price. There was a video on Research Tree not long ago which made me think that this was still a reasonably good share to hold but maybe not that great at the present time. It didn't make me sell although if I were a trader it would have done. I had the knowledge to sell if I wanted to avoid a drop of around 80p per share from the peak but not having done so I am not going to say that those who did in recent weeks based their decision on inside information as opposed to what I and many others already had in their mind. | salchow
18/7/2017 13:45 | Salchow, why would you think I assume all price moves result from insider? That would be really stupid. But if you look at sfe daily pattern for last 4 weeks, and last week in particular, it is naive to assume no inside knowledge. If your assertions about public knowledge were correct, the share price would not have taken such a big hit post the announcement now would it?! | shaker44
18/7/2017 13:16 | Fairly balanced article from Paul Scott:hTTp://www.sto | discodave4
18/7/2017 12:45 | Profits broadly in line with 2016 would equate to eps of 20.5p, PE of 12 gives 246p, so some potential upside IMO but obviously not if H2 doesn't pan out as they hope.Good luck to those holding.DD | discodave4
18/7/2017 12:29 | shaker44 - the company had already made it clear that trading wasn't quite as good as they had originally hoped. A video from the CEO certainly gave me the impression that trade in the industry was more difficult than usual but that everything was in place for a successful future. The price had become over heated and in the present climate people were talking about this being a cyclical share and with some recommending taking profits it is not surprising the price began to fall before the results. I suppost a number of people would have gone short. For what it is worth I believe that this is a good share to hold for the future and a secure dividend of around 5% is good enough for me. Don't assume that all share moves come from inside information. They normally come from people making an informed opinion from what is publically available (or in the case of a share like Carillion what is blindingly obvious!) | salchow
18/7/2017 10:57 | Anyone else notice the unusual share price move down in the week before this warning? Evidently some sellers had the inside track. Hope the FCA sniff around but unlikely I suppose | shaker44
18/7/2017 08:28 | Well looks like selling at £3 and buying back would have been a smart move on today's mild profit warning. Share price movement of late suggested that some holders new in advance. It looks like they are still trading well and increasing market share and so by no means a disaster. Its a fact that their business is somewhat cyclical and so if they can hold the top line on a sticky year that's fairly impressive. Just a bit unlucky that this year is absorbing the costs of the new facility as well. Anyway, happy to hold and will look to add more at some point. | topvest
18/5/2017 19:35 | I still hold as I think this is a very good company. Selling at £3 today may have been a good move, buying back in later. I think I will hold though as they are a good company and are still increasing market share. Maybe a bit unlucky that they have a top line slow down at the same time as parallel running a new facility. It looks like revenue is tracking fairly flat (orders up 2 per cent) versus the expectation of a 7 per cent increase. Definitely a profit warning risk, but also definitely worth more than the current share price long term. Not worth chopping and changing. | topvest |
