18/10/2017 07:04 | Huge deal. Revenues from acquisition is near 100% of RWS, and EBITDA some 60% of RWS. EBITDA multiple of acquisition = 12 against RWS = 37. Is this right??? | ramridge
18/10/2017 06:33 | Gulp $320m for $27 EBITDA Betting the shop Reminds me of SDL Will certainly improve liquidity | phillis
18/10/2017 06:29 | Blimey, a big deal and big placing | nfs
17/10/2017 21:47 | Fbrj, yes a good few nuts squirreled. Never have had a problem running winners, like BREE, LTHM, WGB and JDG all bought around same time. It's harder admittimg you made a mistake and selling for a loss even a relatively small one but I do find it easier now to throw in the towel and move on than a few years back. I suppose one has to recognise that no-one gets it right all the time and learn to ditch the dogs. My rule is really based on the way the business performs rather than the share price performance. Good luck with yours. | alter ego
17/10/2017 18:43 | ae - 57p?....Blimey - well done you! I hope you squirreled away a few. One of the most difficult things I've found over the years is to let any winners run - also not dumping losers before it is too late! | fbrj
17/10/2017 15:26 | fbrj, memory lapse. My price per share was 57p but it was not 2012. More like 2010/11. | alter ego
17/10/2017 15:24 | About £ 1m - that's lower than in 1992. I still hold - I´m convinced they are about to become worldbeaters! (cough, cough ...) | orange1
17/10/2017 15:00 | Tell me. I've wiped that one from the memory bank! | jeffian
17/10/2017 14:55 | Because RWS has been buying up US companies and has a growing footprint there. What piddling quantities? Don´t look at the individual trades of 13 or 25 shares. These are computer driven purchases. The total amount being accumulated will be much much bigger. And RWS itself is a company now worth 1.2 billion, which gives it a FTSE capitalisation ranking of 275. Off topic: > jeffian Remember Clinical Computing? Care to guess what their annual turnover is these days? | orange1
17/10/2017 14:55 | I was looking at these only this morning and wondering much the same re rating. According to Digital Look the current year p/e for 2017/18 is now 33; quite a premium! I've held these from about 150p (Nov 2013)- so approaching a 4 bagger. Alter ego - you did well to buy them at less than half that! RWS is my second largest holding after LTG (another Brode company but at an earlier stage of its development). I've traded these around the margin but RWS will remain a core holding for me. | fbrj
17/10/2017 14:47 | Waiting for a topup opp as the chart is vertical :-(. - problems eh ! | panic investor
17/10/2017 14:39 | why would over the pond buy on AIM in such piddling quantities? I have been here since Julian Cooke at Gartmore offloaded at 50p (new money) I always thought he was a jumped up t*at But thanks Jules | phillis
17/10/2017 14:26 | I've held this stock since 2012 so it's getting close to being a ten bagger. I've long since given up trying to decide how much the stock should be priced at so it's been highly rated and it's been lower but I've held simply because it's a well run and growing business. If that changes, I would think about selling up but holding has so far paid me very well for doing nothing. | alter ego
17/10/2017 14:26 | Aye, I did the same thing at Avon, selling half my holding at £4-4.50 on valuation grounds......before it went on to £11.50+! | jeffian
17/10/2017 14:13 | Interesting - I've been selling down from £5 and have just sold the rest at £5.47. FWIW my thinking is the TS triggered a 7.7% eps upgrade so taking the £4.35 previous high and say 3 months of a 10% organic growth rate gave a target of £4.35 x 1.077 x 1.025 = £4.80. I'm struggling on valuation grounds why all of a sudden it's put on 40% (I'd added at £3.90 prior to the update so really can't grumble!) The RSI is also showing way oversold at 87 (a level it hasn't been at since 2011). Whilst I could be wrong I think I will sit on my hands and see what happens. GLA | alphabeta4
17/10/2017 13:48 | From over the pond by the looks of it: the price the last few trading days has consistently risen post 2 pm. | orange1
17/10/2017 13:45 | Er, whilst this rise is lovely does anyone know what's driving it as I can't work out where it's coming from! | alphabeta4
13/10/2017 13:41 | Good write up in the IC today | phillis
10/10/2017 18:49 | I think the former | panic investor
10/10/2017 18:45 | cowabunga. another very good day for RWS holders. is it just a delayed reaction to the update or something else as well | jg88721
10/10/2017 08:16 | Continues to strengthen after those stunning results. | broadwood
06/10/2017 09:19 | Fabulous update. Congrats to long term holders, this has been a stellar performer over the years and keeps on delivering the goods. Talking of memory QP you'll be surprised to see FFX nudging all time highs given your constant negativity in the past. Better luck elsewhere! :) | microscope
06/10/2017 08:19 | I wish every company I hold put out TU's like this! | jeffian
06/10/2017 07:55 | Numis RWS Holdings PLC 06/10/2017 Retains Hold Hold 0 375.00 430.00 395.00 | broadwood
06/10/2017 07:39 | Great announcement Cash being generated allows them to do more deals and expand I think gbp weakness may be with us a while thus enhancing results too, albeit some froth on the top | nfs |
