Good to see lots of trades but they really should tighten that spread as it just puts investors off even though you can trade well inside.

I have a decent holding but want the best for my investments and certainly not to be taken over at a low price compared to what I think can be achieved.

Low prices attract bids and we have seen lots recently in the market

I think two or three smaller company institutional investors or family wealth funds would be the best buyers. We are small but the growth is there to be seen.

That is three times within a week that an investor or stake builder has paid 2p over the odds to buy large amounts of stock and amassed about 110k if all the same buyer.

With an order book over £200m, pre-tax for the full year of around £2m, and current assets less all liabilities of just under £3m, a mkt cap of £8.7m at 59.5pps seems extremely low.

Surely around £1.5m - £1.6m in post-tax for the full year deserves a reasonable P/E - even for a recruiter - if the market is confident it can be maintained (and with the order book value, why not?).

So even if you're extremely stingy with the P/E, as the market often is with recruiters, and you add in the afore-mentioned £3m, then you have to come to a mkt cap of around £13m / 89pps.

And if it was sold for anything like that price, investors would be furious at the "low-ball offer" etc etc., so I hope davidosh is right.

Trading update and notice of results was 22/1 last year. Have the company given up as well as Investors?

TBF.....I can certainly see that remuneration has been an issue and in recruitment companies the commissionand pay structure tends to favour the high achieving high earners but shareholders up to Covid were getting good growth in earnings and dividends and I am now certain it can get back there.

To be fair in 2019 the company had almost reached double digit eps and was on a p/e ratio of just seven whilst the dividend yield was also 7% and well covered so it is just a question of running this contract and returning to the high pre Covid business growth levels as shareholders will then see the dividends return and the share price rise accordingly as investors see growth and high yield in the same company win/win

The news flow from this company is seriously inadequte to keep investors informed.
Last year there was an update on the fourth Friday of January - eqivalent date tomorrow.
We shall see.

With the share price drop the market cap is now only about £5m. This will put off a lot of investors (normally, me included - but RTC is an exception to my minimum market cap rulefor several reasons). Very few institutions would be interested as the cap is small and the share illiquid...

Patience is needed. When good results and dividends come good the price will follow...

I bought yesterday morning and in decent size as there was clearly a seller and got inside the spread. Clearly they must have now finished and everyone who holds is now in place for the recovery.

I think with a fair wind the company are capable of matching H2 from last year and so overall the full year result may only be 20% or so behind. The outlook should then be much better for 2021 and they do have cash so in a safe place compared with some of their competition and you do need the cash to advance payments to the contractors before being paid by Network Rail etc

I am sure we will look back and think this was a great opportunity for investors, shareholders and indeed the company.

There are plenty BOD in other company's taking large remuneration that don't bring home the bacon for their investors,

RTC BOD have paid me well over the years of being a shareholder and I can sleep well at night into the bargain,,,each to their own of course :-)
