No fee's and free money. Those were the days eh leeds?

Martin Selmayr is a nasty piece of work according to what little I have read about him. Keeps the boozer on track tho.

As to Treeza begging etc, it's pure fiction according to the Mogster, who was on the wireless earlier.

Jean Claude-Juncker has insisted that “nothing is true” in a leaked report of a private Brexit dinner with Theresa May which described the Prime Minister as “tormentedR21; and “despondent221;.

Mr Juncker said he was “surprisedR21; and perhaps even “shocked”; at the report in the German press which painted a grim picture of the dinner which took place between the two last week.

The report suggested that Mr Juncker had claimed that Mrs May had “begged” him for help and that she had “rings under her eyes”.

Mr Juncker’s chief of staff Martin Selmayr was accused of leaking the details of the...

The problem in the Uk, as even business leaders accept, is that Corporation Tax is too low. The idea is that these wonderful, altruistic companies will then provide well remunerated employment. In fact the opposite is the case. Real earnings have fallen year on year for a decade.

maxk not only did I not pay any Uni fees, but I received a grant, but that is not the best bit. The best bit is that I rec'd a grant which covered my fees and living expenses in London for my professional training course too.

Leeds RBS numbers this week will be irrelevant in a crisis. that was the lesson of 2007/8. Another crisis will wipe the whole lot out, hence the absolute lunatic QE, NIRP, ZIRP continuation policies from the Central Banks. they are printing to keep the economy alive. If people continue to vote they way they are the the EU will start to have major problems and the ECB will become ineffective

From Monday, people driving older, more polluting petrol and diesel vehicles

i.e. the poor, the very people who support Labour. The mayor might have shot himself in the foot.

Hi Chinese.
I doubt your wish list will be fulfilled I am afraid.
I haven't see the details of the Injunction hearing , so we'll have to wait and see what the ruling is.

hopefully we will hear later today.

I guess we will not know until it is posted.

One of the leading stories in today's press is who leaked details of the conversation between May & Juncker and his unkind opinion of her, to a German newspaper.

One might have thought that it was someone very close to Juncker with fluency in German.

Step up Martin Selmayr, chief of staff for Jean-Claude Juncker, the Rasputin of the European Commission.

But he denies it was him.

Does anyone believe him?

And what does it say about the determination of the Germans to put Britain through the wringer?

Talking of cars

One of the morning's biggest shocks came from car dealer Pendagron, which said it expects annual pre-tax profits to fall by around 19% due to waning demand. Its shares tumbled 19%.

What will the judge decide today ?
What can the judge do ?

One thing I'm sure of is Signature will email the Claimants before the end of the day.

This is what I would like :-

1) Manx and Signature to organise the Settlement exclusively
2) "The Action Group" to do no more work and be paid for their time, travel and office expenditure (£1 million at most)
3) The early Funders to be given their money back and receive no extra money - if they're not happy with that then they can sue the "Action Group"
4) The Corporate Claimants to give us the money they owe us
5) Total Costs to be Signature (£20 million), Bird & Bird (£6 million) and the "Action Group" (£1 million)

Drivers of the most polluting vehicles must from now on pay a daily charge of up to £21.50 to drive in to central London.

From Monday, people driving older, more polluting petrol and diesel vehicles will be liable for the £10 T-charge, on top of the congestion charge of £11.50, which has been in place since 2003.

The charge has been introduced in an effort to improve air quality in the capital, where legal pollution limits are regularly exceeded. The mayor, Sadiq Khan, said he wanted to prepare Londoners for the ultra-low emission zone being introduced in April 2019.
