This was 50p when the bank was in a bad state so be surprised it's trading at 36p today. When the bad bank is down on the tax payers books, expect a re-rating upwards!

It is all about sentiment. Only 36 pence in old money and making a profit. Citizens is the jewel in the American Crown. Ireland is now off life support. Uk economy in overdrive. Streets will soon be overrun with Polish builders like the summer of 2007. Bad loans coming good. They will be written back to the profit sheet. What's not to like?

Yes it is funny, cfc1 does not throw his teddy bear out of the cot and accuse me of shorting the price, when the share price is rising. Eventually he will accept the simple fact that this is a volatile share.
