Sign of how weak London is ... there are only 10 shares across the entire spectrum of London markets which have risen more than 10% today!

Indeed. I have a wife capable of cooking.

I wouldn't eat the rubbish if they were giving it away.

Greggs bakery in profits warning after sales fall

High Street bakery Greggs has warned of lower than expected profits this year after reporting falling sales.

The chain said like-for-like sales, which exclude newly-opened outlets, were down 4.4% so far this year.

It blamed bad weather and "under pressure" consumers, and said it did not expect market conditions to improve in the short term.

I hope it will rise this week cfc ... circa £3.25 seems possible. LLOY's numbers (tomorrow I think) may provide a clue.

Quite a lot in the papers over the w/e about RBS & LLOY returning to profit this quarter.I assume a lot of that is already in the share price but it could provide a boost this week to both if results do not disappoint

To describe the moves on the FTSE100 last week as 'sharp gains' when it is some distance below where it was a not so long ago, is sophistry.
