EI - I am aware of both as I do like their underlying businesses.

However, I don't know much about them because I only follow companies with no net debt on their books.

Very restrictive I know but it works for me because of another major benefit: it has also restricted my investment universe in less than 50 companies (which on the other hand allows me to start to get to know each of these companies a bit better over time).

It will indeed represent a better value at 155 but not an amazing one. In my estimation, 155p level is consistent with an upside/downside profile set at 1.25 where the expected 5-year cumulative expected return stands at 120%. Hopefully, Mr Market will get very depressive on ROR over the next few months + no takeover bid is launched. I know it's too much to ask!

I thought around the 1.55 mark there is value, there are huge cut backs
still to come in the O&G sector, look at the Total announcement this morning.

ROR is a quality company, it's a little gem imv, just operating in exceptionally
tough end markets atm.

May be bid for at any time, that can't be ruled out, all IMV only.

Jefferies downgraded ROR earlier on with a new price target of 155p.

Can see ROR going to 150 before the next trading update. If that one does not come good either, then all the way down to 1 which should be the bottom (assuming no significant changes to the company's financial position) me thinks as you will have every man and his dog buying hand over fist at that level. Will see...

Never trust WS / City analysts. Most of them are just following the crowd and are much better at describing reality than anticipating events. They are just salary takers who have to show they know something (they don't, in my humble opinion). Having said that, happy that the price is tanking though as it allowed me to finally get my feet wet and open up a position early this morning!

Predictable - drifting down until more clarity is provided next time on where the company is standing with regard to oil & gas sector revenue.

:) I think - unless the sentiment in he oil and gas sector turns considerably bullish - this will most likely drift downwards until the next trading update. Not to despair too much though as this is a top quality business and it will be a good opportunity to top up if the share price goes south. Having said that, there is one thing (it's always he case is t it?) don't like about ROR: they are serial buyers and I have never been a big fan of expanding through acquisitions.

Even though i would prefer better the CEO or CFO to buy a handful of shares, it is encouraging when one of the MDs coughs up £50k out of own procker to buy shares. Dave Littlejohns must feel confident in the company and especially the fluid systems divisionGood weekend all

Customers have been destocking like crazy to conserve cash. Projects cancelled or deferred.
We all saw it coming but long-term do you want to be in or out. In hindsight sell before the results and buy back 15% cheaper is good business. But how many had that hindsight?

Susceptible to a bid from the US at these levels, like so many good British companies in the past and present.

I love this company. It has been one of the best business to own in the UK market for years and years. I have been out for a long while but watching. Events like today's should be welcomed as they offer one the opportunity to jump in. Having said that, I will await for a bit longer in the hope that Mr Market does is all a favour and gives us ROR with a much improved risk reward profile. GLA

More of this to come for the sector imv.

MRO's patience may pay off as this is their favoured sector.
