Well you could have said so last week rather than the morning of a placing announced at 4.5p. Aftertimers are the scourge of the boards.

It hit 10p buyers dried up and sellers started appearing, we know why now but yes I made the decision to take profit on 30k from 6.25p. I make no apology.

I was fortunate enough to pick up a few in the placing, although I was scaled back to 72.5% of my original application. They are EIS qualifying too, so that's 30% off the purchase price for qualifying investors and a three year hold for me.

The rule (in my own words - so may not be wholly accurate) - is that the takeover price must be no less that the price paid in the last 12 months to buy shares by the company/person who is putting in a bid.

i.e the actual share price price of the last 12 months has no bearing , only the share price paid by the entity putting in a takeover bid.

Happy to be corrected if the above is not correct.

I understand that in the case of takeover of an AIM company, the price paid has to be at a minimum, the highest price of the share in the preceding twelve months. Could it be possible that the sudden rise in price was a way of guaranteeing a minimum takeover price for RDT, or maybe a starting point for discussions? Just a wild thought.

DC - that article in The Times referencing Microsoft is from April 18th 2016 not April 2017.
