22/1/2024 15:00 | WILL ROCKHOPPER STILL BE AROUND IN FIVE YEARS TIME ?? ==================== The answer is probably NO and here's why. ROCKHOPPER HAS A MASSIVE DEFERRED TAX LIABILITY STILL TO PAY ==================== On 8 April 2015, Rockhopper agreed binding documentation (“Tax Settlement Deed”) with FIG in relation to the tax arising from the farm-out deal The Tax Settlement Deed confirms the quantum and deferment of the outstanding tax liability and was made under Extra Statutory Concession 16. As a result of the Tax Settlement Deed, the outstanding tax liability was confirmed at £64.4 million and is payable on the earlier of: (i) the first royalty payment date on Sea Lion; (ii) the date of which Rockhopper disposes of all or a substantial part of Rockhopper's drilling and exploration licence interests in the North Falkland Basin; or (iii) a change of control of Rockhopper Exploration plc. During the first half of 2017, as a result of the Group receiving the full Exploration Carry from Premier during the 2015/16 drilling campaign, the Falkland Islands Commissioner of Taxation agreed to reduce the tax liability in line with the terms of the Tax Settlement Deed. As such, the unpaid tax liability has been revised downwards to £59.6 million. | factsandfigures

22/1/2024 13:27 | Dad bought in at a bad price and time ?Most likely listened to sh1t spouted by many on these boards ?Old baldhead on lse an obvious example ?Great to have n#tters in the market to make it , an easier game lolBritish civil service fault now ?Eh??Obviously it's good that Navitas are getting on with things, especially if they have found an FPSO. However I still think the main risk to the project is political rather than engineering. While the permission is technically the responsibility of the FIG, I strongly suspect that the British Civil service will, behind the scenes, attempt to sabotage a project with the Zionist Entity and the Colonial Power to develop new Fossil Fuels in the Malvinas. Once Labour are in power, they will have the tacit approval of the elected government. (Not that that makes a lot of difference.) Also the Falklands, being in the Atlantic, are in the US sphere of influence. The Americans don't generally like competition to their own oil and gas companies. | gozzie2
