Any ideas whether this is going to be a short-term post results shake-out or a longer term downward drift. The statement suggests times are going to be tough for schools with fewer opportunities for RM. Views? - if any one is listening!

Results more or less what I expected, fairly encouraging. Note the 100K protected purchase indicated just before the close.

I'm rather heartened by the IC sell, but time will tell. Lots of unclassified trades today - in the past this has often preceded action and price movement a few days later.

Took a look at the IC piece - just loved the heading "Shares in RM have climed 23% since we advised selling them at 90p (20 December 2002)".

Is the quality of their Sell advise this time as good as it was in Dec??

MM's shaking out weak holders - on back of point above? Or developing jitters about the Results. Some time yet 'till Interims on the 27th.

Guess it was the EVO take-profits advise that brought us down today on no selling. Interesting to see if it has any impact - or if RM. just gets pulled by the rising tech market.

As we are short of a thread relevant to the current situation here goes.

RM have doubled since september, they are at 20% of their peak price of '99-2000. They have a recently developed comittment to dividend. They are still v well placed in the edu-computing-web learning market.

Main bear point is the BBC and their web edu initiatives - public vs private sector.

On a level playing field I would always back the professionals.
