Stevelyons, sorry you couldn't be fitted in this time, but I'm sure we'll be doing another one, if this one is successful. Where are you based? If you are in East Anglia, you should come to the ordinary eamric dinners anyway and that will give you priority for any special events we organise.

If you are not East Anglian, a £10 donation to Diabetes Research will be sufficient to bribe me into putting your name at the top of the list for the next event.

PS, Dodddy is losing his crown as the shorting king - see thread "Stocks which will halve by Feb"

I have now received deposits (or hand on heart, rock solid promises of deposits in the post) from everyone who indicated interest. This means that all those on the reserve list will be disappointed unless someone drops out at the last minute.

The seminar MUST start promptly at 6.30 in order to get everything in and have a reasonably leisurely meal. PLEASE make sure you arrive in good time to get settled and "relaxed" before the start time. You can get into the restaurant after 5.30 and parking is available on the street nearby.

Dodddy will commence proceedings at 6.30 SHARP with a short presentation on his trading style followed by questions/discussion.

rvtaylor will give her presentation, based on her experience as a professional trader, at 7.00, with questions/discussion until 8.30 when dinner will be served.

Depending on how previous discussion was left, rvtaylor and/or dodddy will recommence at about 10.30 with further discussion or Gausie may give a short presentation at that time instead.

I expect things to finish between 11.30 and midnight.

regards
dcb

PS Trauma Counselling is being arranged for those devastated by the fact that they missed this fantastic event. However, make sure you don't miss the next one by keeping eyes skinned for EAMRIC threads :-)

Well, after Robbb's post it now means that everyone who expressed an interest has at least posted their menu choice. The cheques are still rolling in, although I haven't got one from everyone yet (you KNOW who you are :-)), so it looks as though all those on the reserve list will be disappointed. However, I will confirm later in the week, on the 11th jan deadline.

If you can't get to the Dinner on the 18th, we hold them on the 3rd Thursday of every month, somewhere in Cambridge. Keep your eyes skinned for the next EAMRIC thread and get your names down early. If this seminar is a success, we hope to do more.

stevelyons - so far all the possible attendees except one have posted their menu choise, and the deposit cheques are rolling in. However, the deadline for deposits is 11th Jan, and anyone who has not sent me a deposit by then will forfeit their place. So I should be able to post here after I receive the mail on 11th if there are any spare places

Timeliner - no I didn't. From the start I was horrified that so much money was being wasted on such a colossal monument to trivia. My standpoint on a Millennium Monument was that £750 million would have found a cure for a disease and that would have been more fitting and certainly more memorable. I refused to go to the dome on principle and as it turned out all the politicians have been roundly condemned for their crassness.

DCB - As you steer EAMRIC from success to succes I guess a larger venue might be good for next month? I hear the dome may be available.

DCB - thanks

For info, 22 in on the south side of the big red junction in the middle of the map. This is Mitchem's corner which is basicly a big roudabout but with houses and Staples in the middle. Roadside parking is possible, but you have to buy a ticket from a machine and it is restricted to one or two hours during the day - probably unrestricted in the evening though. '22' itself looks like a residential house from the outside.

Hopefully the above will show Chesterton Road. I'm not sure exactly where No 22 is, but I'm sure you can find it.

Thanks to all those who have posted menu options. If you haven't yet done so, PLEASE DO IT SOON. Likewise, thanks to those who have sent cheques. If you haven't sent yours yet remember, if I don't get it by Jan 11th, you place will go to a reserve.

Petec - you are now on the mailing list.

Blimey, what a lot of people! - That will teach me to look out for these posts more carefully.

Lots like I'm too late for this one, but given that I cycle pass the place on my way home from work, feel free to give me a shout if anyone drops out at the very last moment.
