Got told that Tosca buy and sell shares in 1R and sell them to their friends or interested partys and that's why they're holding fluctuates around the 25% mark so maybe they could be building up a large amount of shares with friends without going over the 29.9% threshold

Consorting With The Frenemy: Ad Tech Players Partner For Shared Identity Matching

Together, stronger to fight the Duopoly...
Appnexus, MediaMath, Liveramp, Index Exchange, Rocket Fuel, LiveIntent, OpenX

No 1R???

"Seven independent ad tech companies debuted a programmatic consortium on Thursday that pools their supply- and demand-side cookie IDs into one shared identity asset."

"The consortium is helmed by AppNexus, MediaMath and LiveRamp, which provides the data matching. Other launch partners include Index Exchange, Rocket Fuel, LiveIntent and OpenX."

“The big giants have had an advantage over the open internet in that they have their own deterministic identities for users that allows more precise targeting and cross-device matching,” said AppNexus product VP Patrick McCarthy.

a tale of two companies

Blinkx/1R is the great might-have-been stock, a few short years ago Criteo were behind us, not even active in the US

now the Criteo results for Q1 are astounding, it looks like they will do $200m adjusted ebitda this year, while we rack up loss after loss

yet we seemed to be a market leader at one point, were we simply wrong about all that, maybe we just never really had the class

Rubicon Project Predicts ‘Significant’ Declines in Take Rate

Rubicon continues to suffer...

"Take rates declined .4% quarter over quarter, landing at 23.7%. Barrett told investors to expect “continuing, significant take rate declines.”

He gave three reasons for the Q1 declines.

First, Rubicon charges lower take rates when publishers bring demand through header bidding. Second, it charges lower take rates for its private marketplaces.

Third, a “competitive marketplace dynamic” is driving down take rates. As AdExchanger has reported, header bidding has allowed DSPs to pick and choose exchanges, often settling on the one with the lowest fees.

“We see mature marketplaces operating in the 15% to 20% range,” Barrett said. “Without giving specific guidance, we think that’s where it will net out.”"
