Welcome GHF :o) Been here for a while now. I see Paul has been putting in some first hand research into RBG by visiting several branches!

I posted this update a week ago via Twitter...highlights that the figures beat finnCap's forecasts across most metrics in 2016.

Been buying over last few weeks...with many thanks to Paul Scott for flagging.

Kind regards,
GHF

Could be excell1. However, since someone can accumulate up to 3% before having to declare their holding it gives a lot of scope for things to happen with no RNS announcements to clear the picture.

Still, great to see these on the move.

No, it's a sign of an illiquid stock with an order-driven orderbook, when it should really be have a quote-driven one. Traded up to 220 before the auction, as someone in small size crossed the spread in a handful of shares, then in the auction someone tried to sell 107 shares down at 207 causing a price monitoring extension (due to 7pc fall) before pulling the order leaving the stock to close at the mid price with none traded in the auction.Expect silly moves on no volume at all around this time of year for any illiquid non-MM stocks. No institutions will be doing anything!

Two price monitoring extensions - is this usually indicative of institutional investors buying large volumes, particularly with illiquid stock like this one?DD

The Board of Revolution Bars Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Jemima Bird as a Non-Executive Director of the Company from 19 December 2016.

Jemima's appointment brings to the Board expertise in branding, marketing and digital communications and a best practice Board structure.

Jemima (44) is a marketer with experience spanning 20 years in many of the UK's leading High Street brands. She founded Jbird Consulting in 2013 and is currently working with the Co-operative Group as Customer Director, which she re- joined in January 2016, on an interim basis, having worked there previously in various branding and marketing roles from 1996 to 2008.

Keith Edelman, Chairman said:

"We are delighted that Jemima is joining Revolution. Branding, marketing and digital communication is central to our proposition and Jemima's experience in large, fast moving consumer companies will be of particular benefit in this critical facet of our business. The Board welcomes Jemima and looks forward to working with her."

Jemima Bird commented:

"Joining Revolution at this time is exciting. Revolution has a customer profile who live their lives through social engagement. Marketing through the proliferation of channels is ever more important to the success of consumer facing leisure retail businesses. I will endeavour to bring my experience to the benefit to the business and the Board."

Location,Location,Location. Revolution have created a chain of Bars in ideal locations around the country. That and their largely self funding aspect are what attracted me to this stock, together with their attractive expansion programme.

As soon as I saw the offer for Punch I bought a load of Enterprise Inns as a calculated punt. Punch and Enterprise different to RBG in couple of major ways in that they own a lot of real estate and have high interest, complicated debt. If Punch is taken over then Enterprise comes into play in my opinion hence the strong share rise the last 2 days.RBG rent their units which I like as with the decline of the high street and city centres then rents should remain fairly static or not increase too much in the next few years plus RBG can negotiate excellent rent free or discount periods for any new tenancy starts.
