12/5/2016 21:50 | Thanks philanderer. We all know that catching the low in a stock which had 3 profit warnings would be pure luck, but from my experience when we are all mega negative it means that the valuation has reached a level where further downside is limited and the upside potential is far greater, what we don't now is how and when the share price will rise again. IMO it's bottomed at £2.60 ish and the worst is over, but time will tell. Having a strategic review will purely enable the board in July to take draconian actions to solve problems already identified from their management data, it's a bit like a bank having MacKenzie to do a strategic review...the writing is already on the wall. What is positive from the last shocking conference call is that they are opening new locations where they are clearly certain to generate a profit. | shareinvestment
12/5/2016 20:53 | Luck with those si | philanderer
12/5/2016 20:24 | I follow the Paul Scott blog and his comments towards RTN a few days ago made me look at this stock ie 3rd profit warning etc but solid balance sheet, dividend and producing cash/profits. I also noticed that Shares magazine tipped it as a buy for various reasons (takeover bid ? or takeout by a PE ?) even if it is likely that the divi will be lowered to 15p we are still talking a 5% yield. After pondering this information I have decided to buy 18,000 shares today at around £ 2.95 as I think that the stock is now really too cheap even if there might be some short term volatility. We know that the strategic review outcome is due in July and it will drive the stock up and the market usually anticipates matters and the review will highlight some drastic changes needed. IMO the stock is far too cheap here, 60% loss from the top, and will therefore provide an interesting re-rate opportunity alongside a 5% div yield, even post a likely divi reduction. Maybe I'm wrong but for me the price has now adjusted to this negative 2016 outlook and possible dividend cut and as most of the bad news is out I think that RTN could easily be back at £4 by the end of the summer. | shareinvestment
