Very recent Barclays Discontinuation Note below

Interesting that they are insisting on their TP of 93p

Renewi
Discontinuing Coverage
Due to a reallocation of resources, we discontinue coverage of Renewi. Our final rating was Equal Weight with a price target of 93p. Potential Upside/Downside +292.4%

Renewi was created in 2017 following the merger of Shanks Group with Van Gansewinkel Groep and is a waste company focused on sustainable alternatives to landfill and mass burn, primarily in the Benelux region. RWI (and previously Shanks) has been a poor share price performer over a prolonged period, with earnings downgrades a recurring feature over the last decade. The reasons behind these downgrades are multi-faceted but can be broadly grouped into three main categories: (1) market pressures caused by a combination of macro weakness and waste market structure;(2)poor capital allocation; and (3) regulatory issues.

While COVID-19 brings another challenge for the business to manage (especially given the elevated balance sheet leverage), with a simplified portfolio and legacy issues seemingly now provided for, RWI could be at an interesting turning point, especially for those with a focus on ESG.

This may be the reason behind recent share price rise

It was picked up in several publications on the 17th

Popping into the close with a 6% move atm.

29p will be key here. IF it gets through there, then it could get interesting. Prone to disappointing this one but also trying to be constructive with the bullish environment.

Certainly take a replica of the April 2019 move.

RWI dreamer? ha

Too early to say it's actually happening. Could just be a broker note pump .. we've been here too often and it slumps back to 20p again

Wow, it's trying to break higher.

Really, it's actually happening.

Seriously, look at the price.

Took a few on this attempted break higher.

Higher risk play, short term trading as per all previous trades here.

All imo

Did you see the CFO video from Monday? Hard going getting through a video with references to diapers and what not, but he seemed quite cheerful. You don't often see an experienced CFO smiling, even when the news is relatively good - lol.

Looks ok from here, can be difficult to repair market trust with the institutions but as pointed out before they are coming round in the background.

"Interesting" price position presently (25.1p) with key resistance as well as the 200 day moving average being tested.

Watching this laggard too, but it never seems to push on. Noted it lost its early gains on the day of the results on very heavy volume too - that was despite being materially ahead.

But will all boats eventually be raised with the tide?

Was the GC trade reported correctly? The GBP0.2566p was higher than the highest offer for the day (9/11) in the trade data, perhaps it was a buy reported as a sell. Was she definitely a holder previously? Just trying to clarify. In the grand scheme of things I don't think it's that significant but given RWI's past contract issues a sale by the GC is reasonably sensitive.

Little confused how this didn't finish higher; however, brilliant update. Debt headed in the right direction. ATM recovery on course, secondary material production looking exciting and 3-year horizon strong.

Nice to see the 20m volume (£5m+) traded today, I believe last week we were trading at ~100,000 vol. Obviously don't expect this to continue. Knowing our luck will see a pullback (despite strong fundamentals and weak pricing), but long term this should re-rate. Probably nothing much till the usual trading update in late March, but hopeful for some better trading in between.
