29/7/2006 13:31 | Never understand why people post on threads without charts. Well done, Wiganer. This is what Investor's Chronicle said on Friday; When serviced office provider Regus floated at 260p back in October 2000, new technology start-ups were springing up all over the place and Regus' flexible office space was in tune with the zeitgeist. Indeed, the offer was several times oversubscribed. But early optimism soon faded as economic conditions deteriorated and the dot-com bubble burst. There followed a difficult few years as Regus struggled to adapt to tougher conditions. Huge restructuring charges sent Regus ever deeper into the red and the shares tumbled to 3.25p. But, last year, Regus made its first ever pre-tax profit as a listed company. This was partly due to improving demand conditions, but also to self-help, which included taking the US subsidiary through Chapter 11 reorganisation. Analysts are now expecting earnings to jump by 74 per cent to 7.85p this year, and by a further 17 per cent to 9.22p next year. That puts Regus on 12 times forward earnings, falling to 11 times next year. Similar companies trade on multiples in the high teens so, with net cash on the balance sheet, a market-leading position and recovery in full swing, Regus could now start closing the gap. | high park

25/4/2006 14:30 | If you like cheap property shares , have a look at a London housebuilder,NTA. If you want to stay with commercial ,see COM. They are far to cheap in my view.I am looking for 100%+ gain on them. | torabora
25/4/2006 13:16 | Simon Well Simon good to see your recent comments on Regus hitting the headlines. Now if memory serves me correctly you flunked your accountancy and got struck off.... correct !!! .....So a bit of the "trust me I'm a Doctor" storyline there me old son..... But enough rhetoric. Speaking of facts and figures ....tell me ...hows that short of yours doing?? Now those figures would really interest me. I notice your call of "sell Regus" doing the rounds yet again this week, and who knows you may be right...but clearly the Banks now happily financing the return of the "crown jewels" to their rightful owner dont agree with your views ( I refer to the Rex 2000 deal)You have been known to be wrong on Med Mark, White Nile, Persuit dynamics, etc But above all these Regus has seen you notch up serious losses.... I could hazard a guess and say £3mil but hey its early days...if I can borrow your closing phrase....depend on yet more losses REgards C.T | citytourist |
