rosie - you could be right as order book looks balanced and buy/sells look even today - so the action could be behind the scenes. Do you know how frequently disclosures of short positions get updated?

Looks as if GSA Capital Partners may be increasing their short which the FCA recorded as 0.5% on 14/11/14. Could account for the drop.

Yep, nice RNS on Friday which indicates potentially share buybacks as well as higher dividends. Certainly shows some confidence.

Curious to know whether these business wins were on the back of acquiring Blancco, although data erasure is not mentioned in the RNS. However data erasure can only add a string to RGS's bow. This caught my eye from SCSW;

Blancco promises much for the future. Data erasure is big business. Stricter regulation has made the issue of secure data erasure climb up many a corporate agenda and is a more complex issue than many imagine. It isn’t just about what’s stored on a corporate’s servers but extends to what’s on portable flash drives, employees’ mobile phones and in the cloud. It all needs to be tracked and reliably deleted. RGS says that the “revenue growth run-rate of Blancco has nearly doubled under its ownership” and Blancco is also set to become the focal point for a portfolio of software products and services, which RGS will seek to acquire.

Conflicting opinions ref ex div day. As supernumeracy said above if you hold today you are entitled because 6th is ex div day.

Just topped up. Fred, ref what you wrote about dividends. Why would you recommend RDSA and not RDSB? If you are UK domiciled you are just complicating tax issues by buying the 'a' shares. Not having a go... Just curious that's all. Gl everyone. Long may the recovery last.

As I understand it, XD was always a Wednesday (on all shares not just here of course), but with the move to 2-day settlement, it's been moved back by a day to Thursday. So purchases today should be OK.

Dividend

In line with our stated dividend policy, the Board is recommending a final dividend of 2.68 pence per ordinary share to be paid on 5 December 2014 to shareholders on the register on 7 November 2014. This gives a full year dividend of 4.0 pence per ordinary share, which represents a 60% increase on the prior year

Thanks for the replies guys have to admit being a tad confused now, final results do state anyone on the register on the 7th (as El1te has posted) so I guess that is the correct date.

Not really chasing divvi's flatoutfred been watching these for a while now and reckon the tide seems to be turning here, could be a good recovery play.
Just nice to have the divvi as well.
