03/4/2017 09:29 | Lol. Hopefully I'll be joining you in a collective head shake. | iglenn
03/4/2017 09:29 | But yes off topic GDP and debt views I can find elsewhere and the better for it. | alchemy
03/4/2017 09:28 | Well I wouldn't "blame" them, but I would say buy low ! And given we'll be higher later, I'd shake my head. | alchemy
03/4/2017 09:26 | Jeez. We have ended up talking about national debt and video recorders whilst the share price continues to drop. Not the best of situations and others well may start to bail now. Who could blame them ! | iglenn
03/4/2017 09:19 | As the EngineerGuy explains, the first home video recorder to hit the market back in 1975 was from Sony, and used the company's Betamax format. Soon after that, JVC released a competing home video recorder that was lighter, cheaper, and used VHS format tapes that could hold a two-hour movie instead of Betamax's one-hour limit—and that was the key. As a result, VHS was readily embraced by the video rental industry because a single cassette could hold an entire movie. And it was that slight advantage in popularity and price that eventually gave VHS a greater market share that grew and grew until Betamax became nothing more than a footnote in the history of consumer electronics. If only Sony had released the PS3 back in the late 70s with built-in Betamax support, things might have been different. | dlg3
03/4/2017 09:07 | how much debt does the USA and UK have ??? so who has not a penny?? On January 26, 2016, debt held by the public was $13.62 trillion or about 75% of the previous 12 months of GDP. Intragovernmental holdings stood at $5.34 trillion, giving a combined total gross national debt of $18.96 trillion or about 104% of the previous 12 months of GDP The UK national debt grows at a rate of £5,170 per second! The national debt is now expected to keep growing, according to forecasts compiled by the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), to more than £1.7 trillion by the end of the current parliament. | dlg3

03/4/2017 08:38 | This quarter guys, this quarter. It starts this quarter. | alchemy
02/4/2017 18:01 | Spoole, I actually called CTAG right well early (sub 3p in fact and before the rise) and I can safely say this has nothing in common. Firstly it would need ramping to death from the CEO which this couldn't be further from. Also it would need promise of big orders but no product, this clearly has a product and a large client in E.On. It's those orders that have got everyone in a big frenzy, if you take consideration of time taken to employ, planning permissions required etc we shouldn't have really expected any until around now. Even that tender confirmed no contract signed until planning permission approved, that takes 3-4 months earliest, keeping in mind that they need redT's input before applying. I will wager that come summer this will be trading in the 20's, that leg work being done today will pay big dividends very soon, IMO. | dogrunner11
02/4/2017 17:00 | This has got cloudtag written all over it. | spoole5
02/4/2017 16:37 | > (limits on power consumption) Intersting that it was a limit of 5kWh which isn't that bad, not many people are aware of this but here in UK we are also restricted to 15kWh. | dogrunner11
02/4/2017 12:17 | From BBC News today - Of interest re costs of total off grid system - Restrictions on consumer useage (limits on power consumption) and sources of power and storage. imo - cost of package indicates significant barriers to unsubsidised penetrations of ALL current energy storage systems. | pugugly
31/3/2017 18:10 | Again agreed. It stated machines as a plural. So my assumption was the same...more than 1 | iglenn
31/3/2017 17:28 | And so up pops the large trade that has kept the price in check all afternoon. I'm happy with this news today, shows progress and whilst people have stated that it is just regurgitating old news, it does show that machines are now being shipped and not just ordered. Not the quickest time in this case but it must be remembered that these machines will potentially need planning permission, and/ or will be part of larger projects and therefore delivery will in most cases be determined by the purchaser and not Redt. We already now that it is taking Jabil circa 60 days to make a machine but they are hoping to get this down to 30 days so orders placed now are not going to be shipped until May until the earliest and that's only if they are required then. I misread this mornings RNS and posted earlier that 2 more machines were shortly on route to Africa, when it didn't actually say 2. What it did say though was written in the plural about additional Gen 2 machines being shipped shortly and so therefore can be construed that 2 could be a minimum - I will leave for you all to make your own mind up what this means. | cheek212
31/3/2017 16:56 | Agreed alchemy. | iglenn
31/3/2017 16:19 | Well I feel that was a "hold the fort" RNS. Clearly it was about Manufacture rather than sales. Some things could be deduced about sales. For example: - One delivery this quarter. Winding up this turbine of wealth generation will take time, and our OPEX is headed skywards. But, I'm pleased to be here. Will stay here. Although maybe I was nine months early? | alchemy
31/3/2017 16:01 | Ah ha .... well, good luck with watery Vanadium! | alchemy
31/3/2017 15:39 | Alchemy: Vatnabrekk is from Old Norse (watery slope) so probably similar origin to the Icelandic Vatnajokull. | vatnabrekk

31/3/2017 13:12 | At least Sumitomo are conquering the USA. redT are lingering in the most corrupt continent on earth where the average person doesn't have a penny to ......... | orbital_p
31/3/2017 12:31 | VHS was not inferior. You could see the whole of a US football match even if it ran over time on VHS not on Betamax. Source?Hard Drive biography of one Bill Gates.Usability trumps "superiority" .Any we will make it , eventually. | alchemy
31/3/2017 12:25 | No, there is real competition for vanadium technology from lithium batteries - not least because old used-up car batteries can be cheaply reconditioned for stationary use (viz. Tesla). Their performance is inferior, but once upon a time cheap VHS defeated superior betamax technology on cost grounds, so it can happen. But that's not my biggest concern. My biggest concern is RedT are still moving slowly through testing and prototype phases whilst Sumitomo and Gildemeister are actually shipping vanadium redox flow batteries to real customers. I'm worried that RedT is turning into an "also ran" in this race. | bookwormrobert
31/3/2017 11:46 | Sales seem even further off than I/everyone imagined. Sold the last of mine today, into EMH instead. Might be back in 6 months, but there are better prospects out there right now. Hope no-one got too carried away with the ramping on here... | swiss tony
31/3/2017 11:45 | States 25,000 cycles, why don't you actually read before assuming I'm incorrect? | dogrunner11 |
