Your couple of hours worth of enrgy for a year's worth refers to the amount of the sun's energy falling on the earth. A necessary but not sufficient condition would be the storage delivering 55GW peak, and say an average of 25GW for 14 hours to meet winter evening requirements. That's just for the tiny area making up england and wales. So get some specs for batteries and see how many are required and at what cost just for this tiny area. | pierre oreilly | |
