Ignore the approach and consider the latest deals announced the day before yesterday. My take on REDS is that it has turned the corner and we will see a steady rise up from these lowly levels.

If a bid comes in, which seems unlikely if the posts about AP Systems are correct, then that can only help to re-rate the stock.

This mornings REDS RNS says 'no actual approach' so far, what is going on?

If one, or, three men in shed approached our board of Directors I assume they would laugh at them and say no thanks and that would be that, the fact this has made it this far somewhere there must be a 'slightly' credible story, with real backers. At the moment I can't see it. Shares up, or, down tomorrow morning? My guess is we wont be much richer!

Unwelcome news to some extent as MB himself is a bit of a recovery specialist with businesses and he hasn't really done so here in terms of share price performance - yet, so seems a bit premature to sell, I guess that's up to principal shareholders though. Was hoping to see a higher return on this especially as they seem to be picking up quality contracts with blue chip companies. If this is for real, then they'll be stealing this one on the cheap.

The company's website describes how they're involved in almost every aspect of IT implying a big company but in the section describing the main people it seems to consist of three youngish guys, and their descriptions show the programming languages that they know, so it reads to me like the company consists of three IT guys who'll have a go at anything, which is not the scale of company you'd expect to be making this bid.

According to the RNS the company making the bid is A P Systems Holdings Ltd and on the companies house website it seems to have a capitalisation of £10,102 and one main director David Anderson who is mentioned in the RNS.

Another thing, on the 4th September they subdivided the shares of A P Systems Holdings Ltd from 10,201 @ £1 to 10,201,000 @ 0.1p, and a week after that the share price of REDS started going up and up. I guess somebody is going to inject a large amount of cash into this basically shell company and use that to bid for REDS. But who is behind it all ?

It's all very odd.

David Anderson CEO of A P Systems, runs David Anderson Investments Scotland, operating a company of turnaround specialists. www.davidandersoninvestments.com .....looks like he may be a stalking horse for somebody bigger IMO.

The more I look into A P Systems, the more confused I'm becoming. This certainly does not fit with the model REDS are taking forward. It appears to be a one man band based out of a corner shop in deepest darkest Scotland with sub branches based in industrial units across the north west of England. What little accounting info is available does not suggest a high flying tech giant, just the opposite, with £10k share capital. Will be interesting to hear Mark Braund's response.

Haywards, I'm with you. I'm in for the long term and in 2 or 3 years we could make a reasonable return on today's value. Somebody is trying to possibly get this on the cheap IMO.
