11/11/2009 18:06 | am a novice investor and have been looking at NTG.can anyone tell me why i should buy this share? | jungmana
11/11/2009 17:08 | I may be wrong, but I think the Goldman Sachs comments were made quite a few months ago, so not new news, but I may be wrong. If they've only just announced that, then all the better. | juckster
11/11/2009 16:55 | accounts out on the 8th dec and punted to be worth £3.00 by goldman sach | bainsey
11/11/2009 16:41 | Well, they are due to publish some results early Dec. That's the only reason I can see for the rise, as the figures could be good. This share price was as high as 290p only a month or so ago, and this price was considered a fair value. Then for some reason it dropped to 205p on no bad news. So this leads me to believe that the share price may rise up towards 300p again pre RNS on results. Also, back in Oct, I think Legal And General reduced their holding in NTG. So maybe they've bought back in perhaps ? Only my opinion of course. I bought in at 214 a week ago and sold at 241 today, and will probably rebuy in again tomorrow when I guess there may be a retrace. I've been in and out of NTG since about August, so I want to be in before the results are released, as I reckon they could be good. As I say, just my opinion, I'm sure someone else will come up with a completely different response. | juckster

14/7/2009 10:39 | Typical that the RNS and company website mention only the record date nort the ex-entitlement date. Hey Spob - almighty creator of many good company threads over the years - do you know how to do the scroll-bar thing? I showed how on another thread because there was loads of header info and hardly any room for posts, but I don't think you saw it. | hamsterape

10/7/2009 13:28 | brilliant stuff, good to see solid analysis being done here | robson1974
22/7/2008 11:32 | I think NTG can break covenants, on residual prices, or otherwise age the fleet a lot. Either way they have far too much debt, and bought too much stuff at the top at the wrong price for cash, and hubristically rejected a very good offer. They should look at their Board. I don't agree that it is well run. It has done stupid things and taken too much risk. | queeny2 |
