Well someone must be really excited with the new name, in fact so much so they've purchased 556,000 shares in approval. RNS on Monday I assume?

99% of the votes cast were probably institutions and they do what the voting advisers advise, and voting advisers aren’t going to kick off on company names. So they vote with management.

i suspect most shareholders here trust judgmnet of management here i certainly do - i think we would all agree "redde northgate" in itslef is a bit of a mouthfull - i for one dont like anything that is splet completely differently to how you would say it so i have never reallyu likeed the "redde" monikor - nad having double barelled type combo names is imho equally unecessary.

at least zigup doesnt have much competition on the seo front on search eangines

perhaps the inspiration for the name comes from the zigzag lightning type logo some of their vans contain - lets all zigup to this new name going forward !

Happy with the trading update and the ongoing share price strength. Absolutely flabbergasted that over 99% of the vote went for the name change. Simply unbelievable!

Any way loads of NAV, around 55-60p per share earnings, cracking dividend, growing business, shares way above average of the buy back.

I invested in a company that changed its name in order to get away from the association with a failed attempt to provide Lateral Flow Tests during Covid. It allowed them to wipe out their history associated with the old Epic Code, and essentially there is no history on record, except where the Company provides it. The London Stock Exchange site moves all RNSs for replaced Codes to an archive and it is difficult to access them unless you remember the old name.

There is no way that Zigup is going to keep the REDD epic code, so all RNSs will soon be history. Be warned.

(Irritating that they will lose all the history of share buybacks under the Buyback Authority.)

I really, really don’t think it will make a difference. They ain’t losing the customer facing names.

Have a moan, but it’ll happen and it’s the fundamentals and execution that matters and they have done this very well over the last five years.

Have had this on my watch list for a while, but have to say their idea that they need to re-brand by giving themselves a new ridiculously sounding name has put me off, how much is this stupid idea going to cost?.Zigup - sounds like a 5 year old came up with that one!. Zig is actually an imperative, general-purpose, statically typed, compiled system programming language, so WTF has that to do with their business is beyond me.
