05/5/2024 14:23 | Hmmm - I'm with HL and haven't been given the option to vote. | skinny
05/5/2024 14:17 | I too am with HL and have voted zagainst | joe say
01/5/2024 11:41 | Companies that zig up also zag down. I prefer ready and steady companies. | meanreverter
01/5/2024 11:40 | Thanks for the above posts I'm with HL and have registered my votes against - ludicrous proposal | misterd1
01/5/2024 10:41 | ii also allows shareholders to vote. I've voted against. | pj fozzie
01/5/2024 08:43 | IG allowed shareholders via its nominee to vote on the proposed new name. I did so. | meanreverter
27/4/2024 11:23 | I am not anti-rebranding per se but I see others have agreed with my initial reaction. How can people choose Zigup which sounds like Sick Up which is the verb describing what a dog does after eating grass. The board knew there would be a negative reaction which is why there is no proxy form with the circular which arrived today. You have to contact the registrars to get one. The general meeting is quite close to Monument Tube station so I might turn up to vote against. | kinwah
27/4/2024 08:06 | There is a lot more to this than a name change | jam2day
26/4/2024 17:31 | Assuming we shareholders get to vote on this, I will be voting against. Stupid idea - see how well it went for ABRDN! | pj fozzie
26/4/2024 17:21 | Valuation means it's probably not a sell, but a stunt like this suggests (i) they have run out of ideas with the business, or (ii) they have a monster idea to go off piste (remember Halfords!) and this is a good way of teeing us up. Not sure I like the implications behind either. | eigthwonder
26/4/2024 16:34 | Price went up! | deanowls
26/4/2024 14:03 | I resemble that remark.... | skinny
26/4/2024 13:59 | I think though if you sell REDD you are selling a value share that is still pretty cheap in my book. I have run over the numbers today and it is still a long term hold for me. Decent dividend, low PE etc. I don't think we are the target market for rebranding exercises, you have to acknowledge that we are (mostly) old farts who know nothing about these things. | rcturner2
26/4/2024 12:46 | A bit like British Airways..... | skinny
26/4/2024 12:42 | riverman77 - it does , but in that case what's the point. It can only lead to further costs later. Above all , zero explanation of the point so no direction. Tells us far more about the quality of the board than anything else. | fenners66
26/4/2024 12:39 | Sounds like it's just the plc name that will be changed, so hopefully will not require a wide scale rebranding of all their vans, websites, paperwork, etc. | riverman77
26/4/2024 08:44 | struggling to embrace the change on this one | eigthwonder
26/4/2024 07:57 | Keeping the operating brand names | 1pvh
26/4/2024 07:55 | Brand name.... Zigup... Really??? What was wrong with Redde. | owenski
26/4/2024 07:53 | Worked well for ABDN - not. | skinny
26/4/2024 07:52 | Every good name has already been registered by another company; what remains are the poor names. For this reason, it is better to keep your old name — unless it is really an embarrassment. “Zigup”? Hmm .... | meanreverter |
