"We continue to believe that the allegations from the plaintiff's lawyers in this case were not supported by the science or experts in the medical community".

So we'll find out more in due course.

Is this another Zantac/GSK?

$60M is an absurd sum of money to pay in a single case.

I'm not a chemist or physician. Any out there care to comment?

What you certainly don't want is a Bayer/Monsanto situation - that would be catastrophic.

Anyway besides the one judgement, it's speculation at this point Only.

careful, makes little difference what the company say - this will be litigated and that takes time.

A very rough guide may be what % the HLN share price fell on the OTC Zantac law suits, However this may arguably be more problematic, as their baby formula business is a much more significant profit generator to RKT, than that medicine was to HLN.

A USD60M fine for 1 case sets a nasty precedent, and with 400 cases outstanding in just 1 state, the implications could be very far reaching into the companies or parent companies cash reserves..

It's not so much the fine , the problem is who is ever going to buy their baby formula ever again.

Blimey, I said £40 but I didn't think it would be today.

So 60m was for one person. Guess the fall is because it might set a precedent for others to do the same now? Otherwise yeah probably over done fall

This is horrible. I totally dodged a bullet a couple of weeks back on the warning. Played to those who bought and sold on the bounce.

RNS needed.
Looks like these concerns have been ongoing for years. $60M award is insane.

Topped up with a few more.
Hoping a £4bn write off is unrealistic.

MJ was a huge mistake. Huge Write offs. Looks to be reappearing.

Hope the judge has his facts and science correct - he has just wiped out all the goodwill of a £2.4bn rev business.
