They've been doing some health & safety training over the Colter prospect recently - visible from Old Harry.

Il.I agree, with several potentially transformational drills in the next 6 months we should see the overhang removed and the share price begin to reflect the quality of the company and its management .

One day share price will reflect the progress. H2 is when the magic starts so not long.

Pick these UP as it dips, you will not get another chance like this, IMO.

The MMs are giving future money away.
Just look what is in the RBD pipeline.....

Footy is much quieter during summer.
Where have you been for the last 10 years?

Yeah typical holiday season, always goes a bit quiet around mid June to August.

Fairly flat markets accross the board similar to the start of the year. Just like earlier this year there are some good buying ops out there. Things will pick up soon.

So the potential in the California investment is around $260m for RBD.
It get better every day.

Just some need patience and calm.

Sitting back and topping up on the dips.

It looks like it is options tidying up day, so keeping an eye open for some bargain buys here. Some Spread bet firms also seem to not want any buys.
Now that is a good sign....

Appreciate your reply, cashandcard.

The point I take away from this acquisition is that , again, it is definitely NOT wildcat exploration in yet another territory, but a mature basin with well known geology and resource delineation. Costs presumably are low both to drill and extract commercially. Not a high risk investment by RBD at all.

Divmad,

You raise a fair question. How were they able to get these assets?

Just look at the presentation and it all makes sense, the size of the prospects are very small, in the US, most capital has been directed towards vast shale prospects where there is continuity of the geological horizon, thus the ability to massively scale up development and cashflow.

So a shot at 1-4mln bbl prospect looks meagre, likely a waste of money at $30/bbl as it's probably borderline breakeven. Those are the small opportunities that, due to timing and circumstances, presented themselves as operators/partners walked away from them leaving them capital starved.

These prospects could be highly economic ventures at $70-80/bbl. I'm in no doubt they have been working on this deal for months.

Number of shares is not much of an issue, it is the value of the shares that people buy/sell that matters.

Dont forget a massive chunk of shares are taken up by management + institutional holders. A consilidation might not be a bad thing but not necessary imo

Fundamentals staking up, people will be left behind soon enough. Accumulate and wait for the rerate. Risked value and unrisked value many multiples of current share price, market will have to take notice at some point.

Number of shares in issue is not the most important factor one should be considering when looking at this, they should be looking at marketcap.Cash

Simon-said, no, not at all. It's a genuine question. I bought a chunk of GGP which also has billions of shareholders. It's going to take a major transformational gold discovery / farm in i suggest to see their price increase even up to 1p.Having viewed all the RBD interviews, researched as much info. as I can find, it's a very impressive junior O & G company. California and Romania could be very rewarding, UK I'm not so certain, but keeping an open mind. I'm looking to buy tomorrow morning. However, the only ' fly in the ointment ' IMHO is the number of shareholders. May I ask, what is your reasoning for buying here?

I note from the brokers note, there are 2.8 billion shares in issue. Is this not viewed as a negative re : share value ? Greatland Gold in a similar position.

So a little AIM co can buy assets with an NPV of $235mn, for £3mn and change. Hmmm. Makes you wonder a bit why the vendors couldn't raise more money elsewhere. There's no such thing as a free lunch on Wall Street.

Although it is definitely good news it's not in effect until confirmation at the GM so to be expected really peeps. Hell of a Q3 to come for RBD all this trivial irritation will be long forgotten.
