This is moving up on every couple of buys. No supply of stock it appears that dragged it down to these levels. Such a large placing at 0.9p makes these look very attractive so bought some more.

Interesting question.Discounted placings are the norm across the markets.Forward selling , when in the knowledge of insider information like a placing is illegal and rightly so imv for a whole host of reasons.I can't understand why the FCA is so toothless in the face time after time of what looks like blatant illegal share trading which is , imo, the same as robbery, as its taking money away from shareholders and companies.

Placees could be selling under the placing price. We know it's not supposed to happen by time and time again you see share prices fall in advance of a placing. I strongly suspect illegal forward selling but those made inside. They know they can get the shares back cheaper in the placing. They're not bothered if they bang a few out under the placing price so long as they've made an overall profit and can move onto the next 'victim'.How hard would it be for the FCA to investigate and find out exactly who had sold in the run up to a placing and if they had links with insider info.

Evening All,

I’ve been doing a little research into Pipers concerns around permitting. I think the issue needs clarifying because it seems to be very misunderstood at present.


The environment agency granted a variation to the permit for the West Newton A well sure on the 14th August 2019. This permit allows an EWT for oil. You can read the permit here:


However, it is also clear that not all permits are in place. We are waiting for environment agency approval for the installation of a pump. This was expected to take a period of some two months (from the end of October). Approval is therefore expected by early January. This is the reason why the EWT is still suspended.
