Trinidad & Tobago players pushing for tax reforms
February 13, 2019

Oil players in Trinidad & Tobago are urging changes to the government’s supplemental petroleum tax on oil production, which they say in its current form discourages investment and inhibits oil exploration.

"Because companies are running scenarios on (US$50) oil before making investment decisions, addressing the issue of how SPT is calculated and payable, is crucial to attracting investment into the traditional oil sector."

Saying that, I really shouldn't look at this board as I don't believe this company offers anything except the opportunity for a pump and dump or two, but as you can see from my III history, I have followed this share for a large chunk of time.

I have no issue engaging and have no motive or agenda against any poster, but generic 'this has turned' type statements that are not supported by anything are ridiculous.

If you posted factual points not just based on a 'gut feeling' I'd not argue.

Does it, what leads you to believe that, the share price does not support that assumption, the volume does not support that assumption.

So, apart for just you 'making stuff up randomly', what indicators are there that this seems to be working.

Also as for the board being more truthful, up until the other day they had a miriad of potential issues kept under their hat which came out with little detail in the prospectus. What other delight and details are we in the dark about?

Suddenly, decorating, puttying and car maintenance are considered demeaning. Getting staff in is the right way to go for the independently wealthy, it appears. What an absolute load of tosh.

Does Marco Pierre get somebody in to cook for him?

Does Mark Knopfler stand at the side and pay someone to play his guitar for him?
Does our troll get somebody in to write his posts?

If you have the time and are good at doing things, most of us get great satisfaction from practical jobs. UK trolldom is surely not yet the Greek city state where we can lounge round all day playing with our iPads whilst slaves do all our work for us.

Trinidad & Tobago Prime Minister Keith Rowley has expressed optimism that newly created Heritage Petroleum will push forward rapidly with plans.

ASEYHO. Just the way I see things. Company has changed its tack last year and started to avoid promising what it cannot deliver. It was something I lobbied for, and it seems to be working. But just my opinion. Gained from hardly any selling before this share issue. And way so many shareholders are backing Range, as in recent votes.

Looking forward to Friday this week. Results will probably be "acceptable" in circumstances, will not provice usual negative surprises hopefully, and be interesting to see what progress Range have made/will make soon on the SE project - which is key, imo.

Will anything more be said about a possible merger, how have they progressed with new CEO? Wish Nick Beattie all the best is his future career - certainly gained a lot of unique experience after 5 years as CFO.
