Interesting that they mentioned this in the recent update:
"The rare earths sector has seen considerable interest in recent weeks following an unsolicited bid for Australian company, Lynas Corporation, which is currently the only other listed rare earths mining company producing commercially outside of China, illustrating the global strategic importance of non Chinese sources of rare earths. "

If China does raise prices, the impact for RBW will be significant as it feeds straight through to the bottom line. If China does act, the prices increases are likely to be very significant to have an impact imho. I'm buying if you hadn't guessed.

tidy 2,

China control of REE is much more pronounced than Saudi's influence on oil. Imagine having cornered 90%+ of any commodity. Even the Saudi's cannot claim anything like that.

People don't seem to be getting the significance of the trade war and the effect it's having and will have on REE prices. Rainbow could be 30p+ very soon. Much higher if things really escalate. Most will jump on at multiples of today.

The Gakara basket is weighted heavily towards the magnet rare earths, including neodymium and praseodymium, which are driving demand and account for 70% of annual global REE sales due to their use in vital components in motors, generators, wind turbines, and electric vehicles.

Analysts say domestic producers are the big winners as any curb may boost rare earth prices enough to counter a decline in demand. China Rare Earth Holdings Ltd. ended up 24 percent Wednesday after gaining as much as 41%, and JL Mag Rare-Earth Co., the plant Xi visited, climbed by the 10% daily limit for the seventh time in eight trading sessions. Other companies posted more muted gains, with China Northern Rare Earth Group High-Tech Co. adding 8.7% and Xiamen Tungsten Co. advancing 3.8%. Both JL Mag and China Minmetals Rare Earth Co. had more than doubled this year.
