Posted at 16/9/2011 21:04 by pseudosphere Has anyone received their cash settlement for RAB Capital shares? The latest date for payment was 14 days after delisting ie 16/09/2011 and mine hasn't turned up yet! |
Posted at 27/6/2011 15:04 by pseudosphere fl4ndersExpect a tender offer of 10p per share through your stockbroker/nominee account with the additional option to swap RAB capital shares for those in the new private company. If your shareholding is with a single provider or not split between a dealing account and an ISA then you are restricted to either selling ALL your shares, or swapping the entire shareholding for new shares. If the shareholding is split between 2 pots then you are allowed a different option for each one. There is no guarantee of success or eventual dividends from the new private company. The remaining directors obviously hope that this will be the case but will no doubt continue to pay themselves extremely generous salaries, regardless of company performance. If I had a smaller secondary shareholding then I might have been prepared to risk converting this into new shares while accepting cash for the remainder of my investment. I am going to take a large hit by accepting the cash offer but your circumstances and appetite for risk may differ. As always DYOR and good luck with your investments. |
Posted at 11/5/2011 20:09 by icf absolute So F430, its well and truly over! where art thou? i said all along this bucket shop was run by a bunch of spivs, they wouldnt know how to run a real hedge strategy in the slightest. RIP RAB |
Posted at 11/5/2011 09:26 by chrisgail I've taken my loss and moved on. I have had several profitable forays in and out of RAB but not this time. I am sure there will be share price volatility that some will be able to trade profitably, but not for me.Good luck to all who hold I hope you do get treated fairly by the Company. |
Posted at 11/5/2011 07:46 by rorrystraus Could be but you dont release an RNS like that and expect anything other than a large drop in share price What is also a great concern is that RAB have been consistently buying back it,s shares for well over 2/3 years using shareholders money to do so. For what aim ? To make it cheaper when the time comes for them to go private thats what. Scam. In my opinion. |
Posted at 11/5/2011 07:46 by edmondj Aproximate £20m annual losses to consider though; and what are/will be, current valuations on circa £40m "available for sale financial assets" now RAB is signalling itself a seller?Quite a self-reinforcing downward spiral, as redemptions (near 80% for Special Sits) affect the underlying financial strength of the operation which further reduces investors' interest in the funds. A battle for survival. |
