“Management doesn’t seem to have any answers in the short term and it’s hard to see sales growth returning any time soon.”

Barvin, I agree with you and maybe the situation with Debs is so grave they dare not speak about it but it's the elephant in the room. Without some large insider buying, holding these looks too risky for me.

Why didn't they kitchen sink it and mention Debenhams situation and forecast of closures at DEBS and even provide a potential write off figure? When DEBS announces its intentions soon, the speculation about Quiz will rear it's head again and further impact the price.

Market taking no prisoners at the moment -

Like so many retailers, Quiz is battling against a never-ending wave of online competition that has led to severe discounting in a battle to maintain custom. However, Peel Hunt analyst Jonathan Pritchard suspects the company has a more fundamental problem: that its ranges “are not cutting it with shoppers.”

Shares in retailer Quiz have now fallen by 90% since its IPO
Shares in fast fashion womenswear outfit Quiz (QUIZ:AIM) have collapsed by 52.5% to 15.25p as the omni-channel brand issues yet another profit warning and says it is undertaking a review of the business. Sales disappointed in the final quarter of ...

this grabbed my attention when i saw a 50% slide. Then with some research i found that it has a lot of concessions in Debenhams. If Debenhams is seriously struggling to survive with a real risk of insolvency (which would hit Quiz massively) I can see how the market is treating this..

what was your reasoning for getting in guys?

Online is becoming increasingly competitive. So many me too brands out there now with large marketing budgets. That seems to be impacting the level of their online sales growth as well. Stores look like they are probably heading the way of the dodo. They do have the buffer of short leases and chunky overhead where they can cut back. Does really depend on the appetite of the founder to turn it around. Cashed out so big that he probably doesn't care.

How foolish do some people look now!kcr69 - 19 Dec 2018 - 11:14:32 - 420 of 850LBO, I would filter you if you weren't so amusing. Please keep it up. Peel Hunt apparently, like your good self, are having a wee bit of difficulty differentiating between flat and 10% to the upside through October and November.I have to assume, or at least desperately hope, that you have absolutely no understanding or experience of retail. Best wishes all the same

Wow.

So H2 ebitda forecast is a loss £1.1m compared to a 2018 H2 profit of £7.7m and a deterioration of £3.7m in just 2 months. Cash has also fallen by £3.4m in 2 months. The business is in freefall. Losing money, bleeding cash. Uninvestable.
