hpcg, an industry source tells me that qpp staff are working the files S&G bought in December. this is a win win situation for both companies, and one I believe will be expanded rather than acquired

dasv - I don't really see how SGH would have the working capital either for an ongoing operation the size of QPP either. They would need an enormous equity raise to buy, and then debt (or equity) to cover a year's worth of QPP WC. To do a deal I think they need to price at 2/3 of 70% of book.

SGH can certainly wait. They will know the length of time an alternative purchaser would need for DD so they needn't be in a hurry once the exclusivity period expires. The longer they wait the easier the WC profile is to manage.

Andy I suggest you look at the charts for all the companies shorted by Gotham and Daniel Yu (including Green Mountain Coffee Roasters) GMCR

look at when the shares were shorted, and where they are now

But anyone sensible would have shorted to the bottom and closed the position, and they would have made a bundle!

His initial calls were good, anyone trading them would have made a packet.

I have learned the hard way about not closing winning positions, discipline and targets are the way to go.
