So according to Ben Harrington, the Betaville / Sunday times source of the £640m bid quantification, the deal is to be done on Monday. I guess this is put up or shut up time for Harrington's credibility.

Surely PwC next week, otherwise how will the auditors finish their job in time?

And odds on S&G coming to the rescue next week - IMO Nil.

I have no idea what either of you are saying and not remotely interested... 6 bagger up to now while you're all bleating short and not trading.
Have a good weekend all,( except of course the obvious who will be here ALLL weekend) what's the likelihood of an update from the well informed ST before the open. Next week will be a changer.

JD, I think that offer is already priced in. I think the mug punters have kept it this high because they believe the spin. We know that any "good" news will be accompanied by the findings of PWc and the ensuing writedowns. That said, I do not think there will be any bid, S&G will just buy files as they have done in the past, and likely to continue with qpp staff working them.

Does anyone else think that if the rumour QPP were going to receive an offer from S&G of £640M bright & early Monday morning, or even next week sometime, the share price would have gone higher today?
