29/1/2016 17:09 | Doesnt bode well that old mutal cant issue a simple rns. The fact they have notified of a futuristic date is poor. Dec 2016 is 11 months away, how can they have sold shares up to then?? | dippydodaa
29/1/2016 15:51 | Oryx have been buying - presumably that bodes well then, because they've seen the latest presentations. Old Mutual have been selling down since September, so it's been going on for months (I would guess since the August trading statement). | rivaldo
29/1/2016 15:15 | Old Mutual reducing does not bode well, they will have had the institutional presentation. | a2584728
29/1/2016 14:36 | RNS just out - Old Mutual had sold around 8.25m shares by 17th December and were down to just 422k. No doubt they've sold the rest by now. No wonder the price dropped (though gawd knows why institutions can't sell in a more orderly manner rather than pitifully dripping them out and getting less money for their shares). Perhaps upwards and onwards now they're finally out. | rivaldo

21/1/2016 10:40 | Working in the medical field I had invested here just before RNS last October 2015 I think, then it dropped sharpish and I got stopped out. Never went back in. While they have some good products and potential I think there is some overstating of that said potential. For example the Vit D drugs are a dime a dozen and their version (aciferol) only has one dose. Many others have multiple doses and liquid preparations. the point about specials is fair and that is a Niche market however margins are slowly getting tighter over the last 2 years as more and more drugs are brought into strict tariff meaning only set amounts can be charged. the delay in products launch is a big factor but if the products themselves do not have a big market and there are similar products already available then it will be hard to convert to sales/revenue AW | adnanwolf

19/1/2016 14:24 | grants1961 Just a point you may want to take on board as you say you are learning. I would never have 7% in one stock that was 30% down, that's a sure way to the poor house, you may want to read up on risk and money management. All the best | toyin
19/1/2016 13:39 | thanks 5070481.... quite an impersonal name that! Many thanks for your thoughts I will be taking them onboard. At the moment I am learning with money I am prepared to lose so I have had a huge learning curve on this stock I only have 7% of my portfolio 'invested' here so never went in heavy and currently losing 30% of that but where to go from here ... I did laugh at the statement 'The fundamentals of the Group are stronger now than they were at the time of the AIM IPO.' I bet they are -- I am not the sharpest tool in the toolbox but I should imagine the analytical stats are wonderful with the shareprice this low!!! | grants1961
19/1/2016 12:22 | Talking about growth expectations, these have been scaled back by QP. however the shares are not rated very highly now with a pretty undemanding valuation, I think money can be made here long term, I'm considering buying. | eastbourne1982
19/1/2016 12:19 | GRANTS1961- You need to be careful in terms of what you interpret as not bad news. Expectations are what drive share price just as much as actual results. A company growing at 10% is good on your basis but if the market had already priced in 30% growth then clearly there is going to be a considerable pull back. The board here have disappointed and over promised and under delivered. Confidence in the stock will now be lower and you will have more volatility in it due to people only holding it for quick trades. MOst important lesson to learn is that the boards are biased in teh extreme. Just because a lot of people support your view doesnt mean the stock will move in teh direction you want, even though you will feel better having been reassured by people to hold on a bit longer. REad the boards but take account of those that consistently make profitable calls. WHether you like their posts or not. These are the views to take seriously. | 5070481

19/1/2016 11:36 | Hi people - I am new around the bulletin boards and comparitively new to fundamental share trading come to that!!! Q could Quantum have handled the news in a way that was less impacting to the share price. Afterall most of the buying and selling is down to basic pyschology. It seems to me that the silence was paramount to a scary walk in the woods. I haven't been around long enough to see alternative senarios when handling what in effect wasn't even bad news just not as good as expected? So did they do it right? | grants1961
19/1/2016 11:11 | Well that was anticipated I suppose-shouldn't have bought in so quick a day or so ago. However profits not badly affected and should recover from today's price relatively quickly as they get their house in order.Probably a good price at this level. | loobrush
19/1/2016 11:02 | Would rather put my money in CLIN with it's more mature track record than revisit this outfit. Bought into this near the top via SCSW who are still following it. Something seemed not right here so exited with considerable loss Nov/Dec so not really surprised by this mornings TS & subsequent further falls which looks to have leaked out . Already fully invested in CLIN, which is also down today after their 'inline' TS . | blueliner |
