Plus easy for a failed leisure company to invent some revolutionary world changing high tech stuff that the MIT, or Apple,Tesla, and other trillion $ tech titans with the best and brightest staff could not do. Quantum Blockchain Technologies

If there’s a company on this list that embodies current investor zeitgeist, this is it. Quantum Blockchain Technologies has begun carving a name for itself in enabling UK investors to gain indirect exposure to bitcoin, cryptos and the blockchain system in Britain’s highly regulated financial environment.

At the end of September 2021, Quantum filed a patent for its ‘ASIC UltraBoost’ technology, which is used to improve and expedite bitcoin mining. Share prices jumped more than 30% as a result. On 26 October, the share price subsequently rose by 25%, proving the ongoing market interest in blockchain.

Formerly Clear Leisure PLC, the company officially became Quantum Blockchain Technologies on 7 May 2021. Whereas Clear Leisure operated within the tourism sector, the name change followed a majority shareholder-approved decision to refocus the company exclusively on strategic areas of technological development.

Preceding the adoption of the new name and the narrower concentration of investment, the company raised £1 million in February 2021 from issuing 100 million shares – at 1p each – to individual investors.

In the longer term, Chief executive officer (CEO) Francesco Gardin has noted that Quantum Blockchain Technologies will be investing heavily in research into blockchain, artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies and quantum computing. This seems to already be bearing out, in light of the company’s recent moves.
