A 24% performance improvement means noting without context.

Does it use more power? Is it (or will it be) more expensive to manufacture?

As an example, I could immediately double the performance of a mining operation simply by doubling the number of miners... but it would cost double for the equipment, and use double the power..

But assuming they mean 24% for the same power usage, or rig cost then it is significant..

My best guestimate found 20-35% on FPGA - which according to the WHITE PAPERS is posible also.

But 24% on the current ASIC .....wowwee.

24% better....any ASIC currently available.

* To keep costs low, initial testing performed on an FPGA chip

Two things. 1. This is aim...anything goes. 2. This ain't some highly regulated pharmaceutical industry where you need evidence, it's the virtual world of bitcoin where it looks like you can buy a shipping container, stick it Eastern europe and name your chips after a pair of trainers.Either see it for what it is and jump on board and enjoy the ride...or go elsewhere
