26/1/2022 21:01 | I own mining stocks in unstable countries that are less volatile than this. You would think the high oil price would be helping with the Nigeria exposure. | spoole5
26/1/2022 14:10 | Yep, stinking the place out. | philanderer
26/1/2022 13:28 | This really is turning into a dog of a share. The new management had a lot to say, share price says otherwise | spoole5
22/1/2022 19:29 | Regarding takeover would make a great fit for Procter & Gamble, there is no competition problems as far as I can see . They can close the PZC distribution & close Head Office probably save £ 20M per year. Jonathan Myers used to work for them, so already had a private chat is my guess. I can see a takeout price at least £3 per share for control, petty cash for them. The only problem is a few charitable trusts own a large position, they may be pursuaded due to lacklustre share price over last few years. I don't currently have a shareholding, but tempted to buy at around £1.80 - £1.90, but waiting for current market gyrations to finish, but definitely before next announcement next month, if my price target hit. Will get over 3% dividend yield, & rising while I wait, as I like the brands & business. | giltedge1
21/1/2022 08:26 | There seems to be a lack of pricing power. I like PZC bath foam, some years ago I paid as much as £1.50 for a pot. Now it is £1 per pot in all the supermarkets and the other day I saw it on offer at £3 for 4 pots. And input costs are surely going up. | rogerlin
18/1/2022 16:15 | Maybe ULVR should bid for PZC rather than GSK's consumer goods.Far cheaper deal! | gateside
18/1/2022 16:11 | Im not sure Unilever would ever be able to buy PZC if they wanted to because likely the competitions and markets authority would step in and stop it as they would have too much of a monopoly imv. ULVR are paying £50bn for Glaxo's consumer health products. Some very powerful brands there including, among others, Panadol, Sensodyne etc but even so it highlights the values others are willing to pay for globally recognised brands. With a current market cap of less than £840m i am convinced that PZC's brands are not anywhere near valued what they are really worth. | cfro
18/1/2022 14:52 | This getting hit with ULVR | spoole5

29/11/2021 22:17 | Does Nick Train's fund still have a holding? - I can't find 'Major Shareholders' list. I would have thought him unhappy if still invested. | toffeeman
29/11/2021 22:13 | Trading updates used to be far more frequent before Covid. Serious lack of news flow apart from Interim and Final results in the last couple of years from PZC With no news, it's just going to drift. Held this for years and its proved to be a bad investment. Both long term and short term chart are currently dire. | gateside
29/11/2021 21:23 | No short interest either listed yet looks like only a positive trading update can turn the tide here. Nigerian currency is up 7% vs GBP over the past 6 months which should have helped earnings... | justiceforthemany
25/11/2021 15:46 | Yep, makes you wonder..... | spoole5
25/11/2021 15:14 | Down 10% past month alone Despite Nigerian currency strengthening vs £ in that time which should help earnings here | justiceforthemany
24/11/2021 11:44 | Sub 200 on the cards. | spoole5
23/11/2021 22:23 | Doesn't look like it | spoole5

23/11/2021 09:00 | Family stake only 30% | spoole5
23/11/2021 08:40 | But it's not vulnerable with such a concentrated share register. Cussons has been on the market since the mid 1970's, from memory. The large holders had no interest in an exit when it was riding high a few years back, why on earth would they want out now. Barking up the wrong tree. | essentialinvestor |
