28/5/2019 12:09 | Zoolook, I would keep well away from solar (P.V.) as the Chinese have cornered the market. I am not concerned about the industry, I just want another good 'liquidation' play. | konradpuss
28/5/2019 11:57 | LOL - I doubt anyone invested here gives a monkeys about the ‘solar space’ | zoolook
28/5/2019 09:49 | Why not have a look at Verditek. This looks to be an excellent company rapidly developing in the solar space. Nice RNS this morning. | meijiman
28/5/2019 09:29 | What date are we looking at for cash distribution? | zoolook
27/5/2019 21:46 | That is the problem with a nominee. They could not give a .... When I want to go to an AGM it is a real drama getting a letter out of my nominee. Any thoughts on a good place to put the distribution? I think cash looks quite good right now. I would like to find another realistic 'net, net'. | konradpuss
15/5/2019 16:10 | and don't tell me, that was 39% of them.... ;-) | steve73
15/5/2019 14:50 | I couldn't cast mine because Hargreaves Lansdowne were hopeless... | zcaprd7
15/5/2019 14:11 | I'm surprised that around 40% of votes weren't actually cast... but I suppose it was always a foregone conclusion. | steve73
15/5/2019 12:55 | Sorted then... Is the hearing date confirmed? | zcaprd7
14/5/2019 14:34 | Anyone go? I assume it was passed? | zcaprd7
09/5/2019 10:34 | Indeed, someone should ask why they haven't wound up the whole thing? They've had long enough... | zcaprd7
08/5/2019 21:47 | Well the circular is out for the capital return. Who is going to the meeting at Norton Rose? I go there every year for an AGM of Mountview, once a year is enough! Actually, it could be interesting to go to ask some questions of the management as to what they intend to do with the 'rump'. | konradpuss
03/5/2019 17:30 | Investoree, I also installed a P.V. system at around 2009 so I enjoy some good benefits. Your investing in shares of companies involved in P.V. reminds me of my first electric car. I imported a Ford Th!nk from Norway in 2000 and drove it around London for a while. I parked up in the West End one day and a fellow came up to me and told me he had invested in the company that made it. That company, the last time I looked, had been bankrupt twice times since! I still have the car parked up in my garage. The first proper production electric car. | konradpuss
03/5/2019 16:47 | Konradpuss sorry the selling price given above was a typo and should have read 25.28p not 25.82p (which would have been nice)these shares were the balance of an ISA account and were sold at about a break-even price. Unfortunately my main share holding in nominee accounts were sold at a huge loss in order to off-set some Capital Gains arising towards the end of the last tax year. My interest stemmed shortly before we had an expensive 4Kw PV solar system (£18K) installed in June 2011 shortly after the FIT payment scheme started. We were the 3,231st system to be registered in the UK. Our system is index linked for 25 years (not the 20 years for later systems) and currently pays us 50.67p per Kw of electricity generated and 3.57p for half our generation, deeming half to be used with the remainder exported to the grid. My foray into purchasing shares in two British companies involved in the PV solar sector Romag and PVCS proved to be financial disasters. Romag went bust some years ago and the anticipated/expected dividend income stream from PVCS rapidly dried up as the Chinese began flooding the market with state subsidised panels and wafers. Regards Investoree | investoree
03/5/2019 15:12 | Investoree, 25.82p seems a good price. I hope you were not sitting on a loss. Good luck. | konradpuss
03/5/2019 14:49 | As a very long term somewhat disillusioned PVCS shareholder I finally decided to sell the balance of my PVCS shareholding (96,153 shares) today at 25.82p. To my surprise I was able to sell them in one lot so someone must be happy to accumulate. Good luck and good fortune to all remaining PVCS holders! | investoree
03/5/2019 11:41 | Legal costs were more of a p155 take... The international court should have awarded costs against the Chinese company I reckon. | zcaprd7
02/5/2019 18:41 | zcaprd7 I wonder if the professional advisors have topped and tailed the documents? It must be hell for the management - all those meetings and works to sort out paying us out! I am sure they have earned every penny of their salaries. Tongue in cheek konradpuss | konradpuss
18/4/2019 12:56 | Looks like a capital gain only this time.Yes, they have been honest to a point, but they've taken their sweet time, using our money to pay off redundancies and get their German operations and rebrand. They might believe as they've returned 24p, that they can keep the rest. | zcaprd7
18/4/2019 11:52 | If it's like the previous "special dividend" it was engineered in such a way that you could either take it as dividend or income (depending on your tax preferences). It may be that they don't have the same flexibility if they wind up the co. so they are making it in two stages... distribute most of the excess cash with full flexibility, and then wind it up totally at a later date. | steve73
18/4/2019 11:42 | zcaprd7 The Stock Exchange usually bends over backwards to avoid small shareholders being stuffed by de-listing. I do not think the management have shown themselves to be people who would engineer a situation to stuff a minority. I may be being too generous. | konradpuss
18/4/2019 11:06 | Hmm, could they use a share buy back to get 70% control, then delist? | zcaprd7
18/4/2019 09:37 | The Board will seek to return further surplus capital to Shareholders through a share buyback, tender offer or other means as and when the Board considers it appropriate. The Board will continue to explore options for the future of the Group in order to maximise shareholder return. | zcaprd7
15/4/2019 17:03 | I think it's the overhead, that the German business wouldn't want. The German business must have some value, as does the listing, but why keep back a large chunk of cash? | zcaprd7 |
